Yes, have done so. Best wishes.
Steve's going to need 24 hour care for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, it was a long time before he was found, over 12 hours so the outcome isn't great.
In saying that, he's determined individual, so who knows what can be achieved in these cases.
If you can give a little it will be going to a good cause and to a great & humble ambassador for our sport / passion in Australia.
I know it's very different, but there are similarities.
I know a guy with an acquired brain injury who was not expected to live, let alone walk or talk. Now he'd outski most people here. Determination and perseverance may not be enough but sometimes they can surprise the doctors
Yeah! that's where I was heading. If anybody could fight the odds it would be Steve Lee. I hope. It's a big hill though.
I’m still hoping like hell he recovers decently, i know a stroke and the brain is different but after losing function of my calf for 3months because of nerve damage with a slipped disc and not enough signal getting through fingers crossed when the swelling fully recedes and some healing happens he gets more function back.
Of course still early days in the scheme of things for Steve. We're all crossing our fingers for him and his family. Any support that peeps can give to help him in the future will no doubt be appreciated.
Good to see the ex by his side too.
