I was in a rush to get the car packed and off the hill.
Stupid mistake on my part. I've left my touring boots and my duvet behind in the Windy Corner day shelter.
I'll call in the morning and ask about them and if they are safe I'm wondering if anybody could pick them up and bring them to Geelong on their way ?
Otherwise I'll see about having them posted to me. My skiing is over for the rest of the season and I won't be back to Windy Corner until after they close

It's going to be OK. Gabe from the ski hire is headed back to Melbourne over the week-end and will take them with him. I'll drive up to Coburg to pick them up and say "Thanks"

Lucky you. Not ski gear, but I left my very expensive Italian leather knee high boots in a rental apartment in Nambucca Heads recently. They kindly posted them C.O.D., but Australia Post have managed to lose them. An investigation has been launched, but the guy wasn't very confident.

In this case they're probably "Come Find Me" boots!

    Good old Aus Post.
    Man, they suck!

Glad you’re getting your gear back Moondog.

I left some brand new Apres boots in the drying room at The Denman at the beginning of last season, sent an email but no one had seen them. I was very sad. Went back post season and was lamenting not bringing some decent winter boots with me as it was COLD when John at the bar says “there is some great boots in the storeroom that someone left here at the beginning of the season - they might fit you”. Sure enough - my boots! I was stoked!! Win!

My +1 left some medication behind in Melbourne on Sunday, Aus Post had it up to Falls mid-morning yesterday. I was so scared it'd get lost and we'd be making a quick dash to Albury hospital! Hope your boots turn up @Apresski

Funny thing is, when I went into the Post Office and enquired, they suggested they may be at the other post office in the suburb as it is only a LPO and they may not have followed proper protocol and scanned it in!! When I went there, the lady who runs that PO was particularly helpful and spent ages making calls for me and getting them to launch the investigation.

My wife's flash Canon camera left in the back of a rental car at LA airport. She realized as we were boarding the plane. We couldn't claim on insurance because we couldn't provide a police report.
She filled in the online lost property form when we got to Brisbane and got an email about 7 weeks later to say it had been located. She paid the US $80 for postage to Oz and my wife and her camera have been re-united. Camera in perfect condition.
    Who da thought?

Many thanx to young Gabe who brought them back from Windy Corner for me. I drove up to Melbourne AM and got them. Sydney Road reminded me of why Like inner city living I hate inner city traffic.
Thanx Gabe I owe you a bottle of red wine
