Great news! Gotta love skiing the Maze. Just over a week and a bit to go...it will be the first time my kids will have seen snow fall. Happy as clam!

Just saw the winch kat on summit, bugger. Lakeside and inter are not far off too, maybe by the weekend.

They'll use the Kat to get a base settled. Otherwise it'll just get chopped to pieces in hours.

I agree main street but its so much fun doing summit on the fresh. I was going to hitch a ride up there tommorow and steal first tracks. Normally it takes 2 nights to pack summit properly but the pressure is on to open all the lifts. It might be a moot point anyway if this wind keeps up.

I think they'll be looking to pack it down tonight & then let any fresh falls settle on it tomorrow.

You're right with the winds though..... tomorrow is not likely to be much chop.

You'll just have to be first on the Summit lift on Saturday morning!

What they won't groom is the Maze, so you'll get a crack at that! (it'll be a 2 lift ride back up, but worth the effort! )
