My name is John Gayler and I am an honours student in the School of Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Law, at Deakin University. I am required to collect data and write a thesis based on the findings.

You are invited to take part in a survey related to your most recent experience at Falls Creek during the 2010 winter ski season. You will be asked to provide your insights, views and opinions with regard to matters relating to your recent trip to Falls Creek.

The questionnaire should involve approximately 15 minutes of your time and is completely voluntary.

As an acknowledgement of your time, you may enter your email address at the end of the survey to go in the draw to win one of five $50 vouchers for surfstitch.com.au

The questionnaire can be found at
    http://www.alpinesurvey.net

It would be appreciated if you could participate in the study

    Thank you
    John

    when does the survey close?

it's very early to be answering questions about 2010. I had a ski today, but really, only season ticket holders (and others with discounts) are likely to be doing much at this stage.

The survey closes on August 12, unfortunately covering the whole season isn't possible due to time constraints. Still very early indeed but but it would be nice if someone stumbled across this. There will be a link on the Falls Creek website at some stage as well as me going up on a few occasions to find participants.

    Cheers

    good luck with it.

I suggest you "bump" the thread occasionally, especially after vic school holidays, and maybe a few days before you close it off.

I'll hang off a couple of weeks before answering it

I'm not sure I needed 10 options between very satisfied and very unsatisfied, but otherwise a fun, well designed survey.

Oh, I put downhill skiing as my principal activity, but there was no option for other activities I do at or near Falls, such as nordic skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, AT skiing and even a little light-duty mountaineering on the steeper bits of Mt McKay.

But I guess it's too late to allow us to nominate multiple activities on the form now as the survey has already begun. [IMG]

    John,

    Done

Hope the outcomes from the survey drive some changes in the management of certain aspects of the resort.

Thanks to those who have responded already.

If anyone would like a summary of results later in the year feel free to email me at jwwg@deakin.edu.au, I might post a link in here as well when the time comes around.

    First question is flawed.

I've spend the bulk of the last 5 years in the snow, but the question is capped at 100

    *Bump

If anybody has any friends or relatives who have recently been up to Falls or plan on going in the next few weeks I'd really appreciate it if you let them know about this survey as well.

    Thanks,

    John

    Thanks Richard.

The survey can now be found at http://www.alpinesurvey.net and should make it a lot easier to pass on to those you know who have been to Falls Creek.

Well it appears as though I picked the wrong year to write a thesis on this topic with the current snow levels being as they are. I'm still in need of responses though so if you have been to Falls this year or know someone who has please head to http://www.alpinesurvey.net and complete my survey or tell your friends/family who've been up.

Any help I can get is really appreciated.

Tried to do it but it needs numbers so gave up on page one.

I typically go for EITHER a weekend 2-3 days OR a week 7 days. But it only wants one answer.

If I average it and say 4 or 5 days it doesn't represent what I do. At that point I gave up and quit.
