More chances for snowfall for Tasmania on Friday night/Saturday:
generated by an upper level low...
More than 300mm of rain has fallen at the top of kunanyi / Mount Wellington during the last three days, setting a new record for Tasmania's iconic mountain.
During the 72 hours to 9am on Wednesday, a rain gauge at the mountain's peak received 319.2mm of rain. This was its highest three-day total on record for any month. It's also about four times its monthly average.
North West Bay & Mountain Rivers must be absolutely belting, along with all the minor watercourse.
Super steep gradient in upper reaches there. Will be doing some serious boulder shifting.
