More than 300mm of rain has fallen at the top of kunanyi / Mount Wellington during the last three days, setting a new record for Tasmania's iconic mountain.

During the 72 hours to 9am on Wednesday, a rain gauge at the mountain's peak received 319.2mm of rain. This was its highest three-day total on record for any month. It's also about four times its monthly average.

North West Bay & Mountain Rivers must be absolutely belting, along with all the minor watercourse.

Super steep gradient in upper reaches there. Will be doing some serious boulder shifting.

Can you remove ""deep south" from the title??
sounds *very* patronising ( almost like an oldie wrote it!! )

I considered it a complement.

Somewhere loosely associated with the Australian mainland actually with decent latitude & seasonal variation.
