On the warm side, but May 2014 was hotter when Melb had 13 days in a row over 20c between May 11-23 that year. Looks like a colder SWly around May 25 from what I can see.

Absolutely stunning pictures @SMSkier, great contrast of winter and summer.

Well EPS is still onboard with the 26-31 May period (and maybe a few days onwards...)

The talk will really start to heat up, as we get into the EC Determ range over the next 10 days.

There is something a brewing. Axs-r starting to show it around the 26th. If the high stalls and low moves a bit further north then game on.

Back to being hot in Dubbo. Forecast maximums in the mid 20's for the next 7 days. Staying above 10 at night. Good for the firewood reserves.

Amazing colour and hold their leaves longer than similar trees. They don't cope with strong winds though :(, and can be temperamental to soil type when young - we lost quite a few in the first year.

We didnt drop below 6c overnight near Emerald. Ferny creek stayed around 8c. Going to be another warm afternoon. The lawn thinks its spring and, of course, mowers out of action, needs a new fuel line.

Interesting to see EC playing upon two systems, one on the 26th as a taste of what is to come.
And the big one on the 29-30th.

not much ground cooling here in Sydney these days.

With 23 predicted today and between 24 and 26 over the next 7 days, we are going to be hitting summer temp's again.

It's scary stuff especially since we've pretty much skipped autumn again this year.

    I hear you on that.

Melbourne is a going to be between 20-22 all of this weeks and our nights are in the low to high teens. Already our nights are 3c above average so this will no doubt push it higher! I recall a similar setup last year too, we had a coolish beginning and everyone was bemoaning the cold winter approaching and then it was Indian summer for most of May. In fact I recall it well as I was up at Falls Creek this time last year and only wearing a jumper

yep - I'm now using yr.no PV forecasts. No need to get deluded with MtK models anymore.

latest updates are looking better for PV 29th onwards. Temps are lower on this latest update.

If temps drop next Sunday night and the machines come out to play each night onwards - it's game time!
