Little Pebble said much the same
Nice height gradients crossing pressure gradients. Looks possible that Melbourne may get more precip than BOM has progged IMO.
Got our selves a nice gentle onshore here in Bondi (+ some sea fog).
Interesting low level convergence forming off the coast (trough forming perhaps?) looks to be aiding CAPE.
With a bit of mid-level shear we might see the odd shower or storm pass through if you're on the coast in Sydney IMO.
RIP Western burbs.
Drove out to Myrtleford this afternoon and off to Harrietville tomorrow... everything is a different shade of brown, it sure is strange seeing this part of the world without a nice layer of green. Could really do with some decent rain.
I think the parallel universe thread is over there....
And I have a game of soccer at 12pm on Sunday....
On the beaches though so should be a sea breeze.
Nah... Hot northerly for much of the day ahead of the Southerly Buster due early eve.
32 forecast upper BM’s and winds to 50 k.
The good news here is that the strong winds look to be early AM, easing in the arvo (where max temps will be reached).
Maybe 30-35km/h winds in the arvo IMO
Fire ban for NSW on sunday?
Wollongong tipped 39 Sunday.
Surprising considering our Beachside location
Lovely day nestled in behind Mt Buffalo today.
Wandering around the creeks that run through the property coming off the mountains. All I need is a cold beverage!
Light rain here in Adelaide currently
Got a low of 2c forecast tonight and possibly the first frost of the autumn.
Queenstown, Otago, NZ. We've got a pretty stiff sou-westerly blowing at the moment, that's expected to die away overnight. Hopefully we'll avoid a frost, the garden is still humming along.
It really is/was...

We had light rain in Harrietville last night from about 11:30. Not sure how long it fell for as I was asleep after midnight but it was pretty consistent. Wasn't expecting that last night
Same in Canberra - completely unexpected rain this morning. Perfect for MTB...

That will change shortly with what looks to be some serious wind to push through tonight! Imo
Will test any going fires I'd think imo
How's it looking over seaview way @doogasnow?
Yeah good so far Derwent, but it hasn't been hit with any serious wind yet, we've only had a moderate northerly all day.
I think the test will be overnight out this way and once those really strong winds hit the fire hopefully it dosent take off?
Some winter-like coldies to the S-SE of WA, entering the Bight.
All calm here in Harrietville this eve... Not even a breeze. Been a lovely day.

Quite breezy in inner Melbourne at the moment.
I spent the week up at Lake Eildon, stunning warm days with nights cool enough to sleep in my tent, couldn't have asked for better weather.

This doesn't look like much fun:
Sorry, didn't realise it was posted elsewhere on here
How's the lwt?
Not so into it, but the 00z run wasn't all that keen on it. Worth keeping an eye on it, for now. But wow it's been active this summer.
Might rain in Capetown
36c right now pre change in Orbost, 10.30am
Been non stop rain and wind since early in the morning. Rain has moved east and its now looking clear in NW Tas, but I think there is going to be part 2, judging by the new cloud build up to the west.
