In fact i worked it out, bunch of different locations that cant possibly be part of the same tour which threw me. Razorback, Blowhard area, then i think you've gone up the back road to Falls and skied up to the BHPs from the closed gate - looks nice.

Sensational pics - particularly like Razorback/Spion K/ & distant Kosi.

I note that the snowgums on the Razorback are taking a long time to regen - a lot more space between the trees on the top compared to my 91’ visit. (Back in my day!...)

Well done getting out to all these great locations - I’m now feeling a bit slack! ( ;-)

Wilderness Sports. Young guy called Rob. He was good, I said I wanted to get better on downhills and we worked on that for an hour. We did try telemark turns but weren’t very successful LOL But I am more confident now and feeling more at home on the skinny skis.

Don't give up on the Tele's - they're tricky, take lots of practice and its helps if you're on shorter shaped skis, beefy bindings and place boots.

Fwiw: it's quite humbling to try to tele on low cut placcy boots and long skinny patterned Morottos.
I'm not sure how I ever did it - before discovering 'good-turning' gear.

Had a great day at Hotham running Telemark clinics at the BC Festival, got to ski with @dossa5 and his Mrs (I forget her Forum alias) for the first time in years and also got to meet and ski with @Boodwah for the first time. It was a hoot!

TV is south facing , windy due to katabatics + reasonably steep so it will be icey unless temps suddenly rise.

Let us know what its like!

My guess, some aspects might be OK, the wind yesterday was not favourable generally, however some aspects were great (Thredbo side Stanleys), some instability, pretty manageable.

In my extensive experience of one trip* out there it has lots of different aspects so a range of conditions are possible.

*I was with a telemarker so that instantly doubles the experience points... but also with an un-telemarker who cancels out the bonus.

I just took a nice easterly line on a Cbr - Mel flight.
Nsw is brown, Vic is green (south of the range) :(
    But everything is coated.
Gave a wave to @BrianWilson and crew who are out at LBC today.

Congratulations to Cam Walker for organisation of bc Fest at Hotham this year. Great snow, too, especially out of resort in trees. I had to dig the car out at DP on Sat morning and so missed the morning briefing. Thanks to Kenton for tele session in trying conditions. Thanks also to Glen for leading the 'Half-piste tour' on Sunday, a superb excursion through the snow gums.

Step turns are handy .I cannot do them at high speed but when moving at a manageable speed on a sane descent ,I can do them .One drill I learned for step turns is skiing on one XC ski.Ah, the Stem Christie turn.I call it the half plough turn.I was linking those up today on a descent on Heathy Spur on the BHP.

    Great pics.

I note the Stirling pic also the Howitt & Snowy plains in the distance and possibly the Wellington Plains as the last snowy ridge. All look as white as they get I reckon?

Don't suppose you snapped any of the lesser far NE Vic peaks: like Pinnibar, Gibbo, Davies Plain or Cobberas?
(I'm sure they'd all look underwhelming compared to Kosi & the BHPs.)
