heading to jervis bay next saturday for a week's camping at the beach. weatherzone prediction looks fairly wet
Apparently the BOM for VIC is down? Weatherzone app is dead and BOM website displaying the following:
The automated weather station system has been down since midday. Forecasts and aviation observations systems are still up and working.
Wollongong pretty much won summer today for corona sunsets. Talk about presenting a image to the world.
Well it’s starting to blow at Langford Gap....mild temp...but wind is starting to howl... Oh we now see the warning for NE Vic for damaging winds ..... Yes it’s really starting to ramp up !
forecast of 36 for Perth on Monday. Disappointed that it couldnt hang off until Wednesday - we fly out at 7am and could have avoided it
A bit wild and woolly here at the high perch this morning, gray skies with a bit of thunder in them , wind ESE gusting to 32 kmh at times , 11C but no rain so far. Internet sporadic at best , well done NBN Skymuster.
Incoming. Strong winds, thunder and lightning and a few sprinkles of rain-sky has a tinge to it.... Thank goodness it was not like this for yesterday’s L’Etape..
Team Bears pulled the plug on Alpine Operations after midnight...based on wind velocity and BOM forecast .....the Team obviously made the correct decision! Some bushwalkers must have had a fun packed Sunday! But Saturday was a splendid day for activities.
Swagged it Friday night at up top, however made the smart choice of a Tawonga cabin last night. Was actually quite a nice day at Falls after 11am. A fun camping and MTB weekend.
Team Bears say bring on the warmth.... Bit of action after Wednesday in NE... Pushing high thirties later this week with mins around 17deg... Gisborne cool this morning however....much cloud not much sun atm. Get the Bunnings Straw hats out....the heat is a comming.... Track clearing activities can get back on track ...in top conditions! Rodeo water pump set fir replacement this arvo....just in time for summer. Probably not long before we get first TFB!
I was looking at the SE Trades for NQ as the week goes on . The down side of that is the heat for the Sth states the way this high is looking to position itself.
Fascinating trough line looking to set-up storms through Vic's West on Friday. The upper level jet looks to knife edge the instability through Vic, SA & into WA.
There's a sniff of convection into the South Coast progged but I reckon the models will drop it by the end of the week. Saturday should be a ripper of a day, down your way IMO. Sunday might be another story but again possibly further South.
