Cells Poppin West of Sydney RN. I am not confident they’ll reach the CBD with this onshore undercutting it.

not enough to stop em working while the grass grows in front of their eyes.
but enough to be complete pita in the comfort stakes.
    cool , humid , damp....
add to that half the lawns they can't get near with all the cars parked.

Y'all know I love a good storm and tomorrow looks like a bubbling couldron through Central and Coastal NSW tomorrow PM.
Should see some good flare ups in the Southern Highlands, CT & BM's tomorrow mid-arvo.
The Gong to Batemans Bay on notice IMO. Steering winds put it all on the coast by late arvo.

Going to be some serious summer records broken out in the west IMO.

Dubbo average maximum for the first ten days of Jan is over 38 degrees. Forecast for the next seven days is:

    36, 38, 40, 39, 41, 43, 41

Jan average is a bit over 33.

Things really starting to heat up through interior SA & Vic on the back-end of next week according to GFS.
    Heatwave-worthy.

EC not nearly as interested with a flatter jetstream South of the Bight/Continent and the Tropic flare up in the West. The divergence is there.

Missed the lot. Not a drop. Watched the weather bypass us in the rain shadow then head North towards Cooma and Canberra. But did score a nice sunset.

    It’s looking warmer than that now. 41, 39, 41, 44, 45, 45, 41

Some nearby areas are looking as bad or worse. Nyngan, for instance, has a coldest day of 41 and a streak of 45, 46, 47! Condo, Coonamble, Lake Cargelligo, etc - all steamy

Another perfectly mild day here in Kiama. According to the BOM - it's only made it to 30 twice since Dec 1 (early Dec).

It did reach 38 in that early Nov heatwave. Otherwise - the aircon from the NE is running most hours of the day. And for a change most of the South Coast through to Bega is also sharing in this special micro climate of regular rain and mild temps.

Had another sea-mist day here in Sydney's Eastern Burbs yesterday. 7 or 8th occurrence for the summer now.
'Unprecedented' according to an old local digger I spoke to the other week.

Those on the Escarpments of the BMs, CTs & STs (NSW) might want to keep an eye on the radar Wednesday & Thursday arvo/evenings.
There's progged to be a heat inversion with the NE'ly onshore at the surface (CIN), leaving elevated terrain under the lit fuse.
Lots of bends and buckles (troughing) in the surface chart mid-week. Looking isolated & sketchy in parts.

Just the usual city-based media garbage.
Expect to also hear about the heat policy at the Aus Open, fans and players "sweltering", etc, etc.
5 straight days above 30C but nothing terribly brutal. Probably a bit of late arvo seabreeze to cool things down. Doesn't look like any night has a forecast above 25C, so nothing too bad at all. Can't complain about it, especially when you look at forecasts for north of the Divide, as you said.
