Yea picked up a really handy 50 mm. Around about the monthly average from the one storm there.

Just got washed away. Radar is amazing.
Just looking at the radar and those pics above, i reckon there's an awful potential for some landslides down there where the fires have been on the Great Ocean Road.

Highton Village is under water after severe thunderstorms. Picture: Sarah Albrecht
The storm is inching it's way NE.
Looks like Avalon and Werribee will get hit shortly.
Frankston, Cranbourne and Pakenham all in line as it crosses the bay. Might affect a few train lines.
Doesn't look like it'll affect my drive home, thankfully, or your ride either CC!
exciting more water outside coffee shop than Bears encounter fording the West Kiewa!!!
anyway a change for the CFA they are attending to flood damage...
hope Wye River and surf coast was spared from that storm...
Looks like the lower bayside suburbs might get it too. Perhaps Hampton and south?
Not sure this lot will make the CBD.
35mm of rain in an hour in Geelong.
Up to 42mm now.
Avalon has had 29mm in 30 minutes.
Have we moved to the tropics? Wet season rains!
Nice view out of my office window over to a light show over Werribee.

Avalon has received 62.2mm (double the January average) in 60 minutes, including 53.8mm in 30 minutes.
Just got 40mm here in an hour and a half.
Where are you?
Geelong area. Absolute havoc on the roads. Flash flooding, cars floating.
70mm+ in Walgett (NSW) today in less than 2 hours. That storm setup is heading east across the border rivers catchment. May put a good fresh down the Darling. Still flogging down in Dubbo - over 80mm so far since 6am.
Yeh, two guys from the office have had their houses flooded out.
Closing in on Melbourne - view from the office
Yeh, just impacting Laverton now.
Might jump on the bike now!
Good luck beating it home - i am about to grab the bike and get out of here too..
May the Force be with you C.C.
Bears say you better pedal fast!!!
There are 3 flying sauces caught going for a spin over Melbourne in that pic !
Melbourne next in line for some heavy rain ,but hope its not flooding.
Beat it home easily
Bucketing down now in Canterbury.
I left home early to beat it home. So far the inner north has been spared.
Inner west has been coping it. Easing up now.
Looks like we might get a little bit of weather here in Melbourne's outer east
Melbourne inner north east got bugger all.1-2mm at best.
We got around 5mm.
Still a chance to get a bit more tonight, with more tomorrow.
We've had 13.5mm so far in the Upper Yarra region
The frustration of summer storms, one suburb cops a drenching yet a few streets away it remains dry
Looks like a hot humid Sydney when I return on Friday... With storms predicted.
A bit sticky this morning, I had a good soak yesterday afternoon, and then again about 10pm. Cant complain, everything is nice and wet. More on the way today hopefully.
Mother Nature put on a good light show while surfing the back beaches last night. Lots of distant CGs. Got back to Mornington around 9pm just in time for the storm to reach there and the light show to continue.
STW up nice and early today
It's a little unnerving looking at the radar and not seeing anything but 1 set of cells. You know it's coming, it's just a waiting game.
Avalon looking like being in the direct path of another cell in about 20 minutes.
Doesnt look too harsh at the moment, but who knows how it will end up.
BOM or yr.no for alpine area?
BOM forecasts 10-20mm on Sunday, yr.no says 5mm. Gut feeling is yr.no is correct - thoughts?
Pretty hard to pick where the troughy weather will hit. And the local variations are likely to be significant.
Looks like it's starting to brew up Sunbury / Melton way now.
Cheers, that reflects what I was seeing. If totals exceed 10mm it'll be from a storm, not all day rain.
dark n stormy out there..... (innerish sth eastern burbs of melb)
I have a feeling this misses the more northerly cell
