BOM radar suggesting Sydney is in the eye of the storm right now.
Another uncomfortable day up here and thankfully those fires are not in my area. Fingers crossed the radar will light up again later on.
Dan recommends you have a drink in that heat!
Roads are dry and winds are low on the northern beaches - hasn’t rained for well over an hour
In the eye of the storm we are!
Yep - the eye of a great big spinning monster! We're going to get smashed again in an hour or two.
Round 2 in Dubbo now from the south. Nice heavy rain.

Rain and wind starting to pick up in Sydney .
View from the train crossing the bridge
Looking on the bright side it's washed all the crap off my car that last week's dust storm dumped on it.
Yep, Sydney harbour obs showing a steady climb in wind gusts since 3pm. Definitely turned.
The wind was much stronger in Sydney last week but from a different direction.
62ml since the storms kicked off at 4am this morning but the South East has kicked in so it should build over the next few hours. Looks like Wyong is copping it going by the Radar.

Armageddon forecasts almost never are.
Def Fizz for the afternoon system!
My suburb was listed as one of the high numbers in this morning. But nothing much as yet this afternoon.
I have seen it all day but its always just over the next hill. I guess I am just outside the spin area
153mm here in the Lower BM's since midnight. Some crazy rainfall rates at times. Looks like a clearing trend to the South as the low moves towards the North. That's fine, we've had more than enough! Hopefully the Hunter gets a good drenching as well.
Models have been right on this one.
Even the GFS wobble that was observed a day or so back seems to be justified .
It was too windy for the coastal Illawarra.
Places with topography that could capture that flow enhanced the precip rate. Eg Robertson, BMs etc.
The strong onshore was pushing showers right up inland.
Last nights or rather this mornings storms were the money for rainfall. Where they occurred was a bit of a lottery.
We got 93mm, so says smh
I wasn't too convinced for a storm this Arvo.
News site headlines are for an evening of saturation. Methinks they overstate the situation.
