The station says they have "wireless internet". Has anyone been and used it before?

I'm just wondering if I brought my laptop would I be able to just connect to their network, say from the cabin or something and log on to the net?

Or is it something only available at the bar and for extra or something like that?

pretty sure it's AIRLAN, so you get a password for it and once it's setup it's a normal wireless network

Any general comments about the station resort would be great. I'm not that keen but my mate wants to stay there for some reason.

i've heard stories of theft & people running amok-making noise after drinkies, etc.....also after some bands/raves security issues...it's a bit out of town so that can be a hinderance or help, depending......otherwise it has all the facilities

Yeah, I might call them up and ask about the net connection. ALthough, I was a bit worried about leaving computers in the room all day...

I usually stay on snow, this year im being a tight***. Ive been there once, just visiting some mates while I was making my way up to perisher. This time Im staying there. Didn't seem too bad, sorta like a P&O cruise ship - no rules, run a muck maybe.... Soon find out in a few weeks.

I would rather stay somewhere like the LJ, similar accommodation but closer into town.

Saying that, I've stayed at the station 3 or 4 times, and it is decent for what it is, although was getting a bit pricy last time I was there.

I'm there from the 15th also. Went there last year with family and had a good time despite lousy snow. Am also interested in wireless access.
