    Flash bangs in Mentone.

A few showers on and off so far but no "rain".

Brighton... rain is steady... flash bang is cloud based. Storm reminds me of a jindy...act storm. Dry ...lacking uppers.

It keeps threatening to throw it down, the drops increase in size and intensity and then as quickly fade out, impressive sound and light show though.

Had a few flashes and bangs here in Elwood, had 1 decent heavy downpour otherwise just been good steady soaking rain for the past 1.5-2 hours. So relaxing listening to it fall while on the couch with a cold one

Drove back to Gippsland and went through some decent storms. Very little in the gauge so far, but models suggest overnight and tomorrow will be when it happens here.

I don't have a gauge here, weatherzone saying 11.8mm here in Elwood.
Id think a bit more than that, 20mm id say. It rained pretty steady most of the night and its still going this morning.
Radar suggesting a few more hours also

Clearing here now after another 11.5mm. Have water everywhere in the shed, doesn't cause an issue other leaving a nice film of soil over the concrete. The tank overflow blocked as well, it overfilled and came out the access hole and flooded the fire pump enclosure. Ahh, Australian summer at its finest. :)

Gippsland home ended up with 24mm by the time I left for work. Then the tail end came along in which Latrobe Valley AWS got another 10mm.

I picked up 36mm from this. Very happy with that especially seeing my place missed a lot of the heavy rain and instead just had steady rain all night and this morning. Cleared now.

Ended up with 60mm in total. Probably the 30mm of torrential on dusk being the main difference.
That part of it was 20 minutes of serious juice. Water storage back up to 80% from about 20%!!:)

Some cells in the west of victoria heading east.
Geelong might get a bit with a cell over Colac. Not sure if the ones further north will get to the metro area or hit the usual force field.

Big cell sweeping through Maryborough right now

Macedon force field likely to stop it in its tracks

Big cell to the north. Radar filling in to the west, but I wonder if that's some weird radar artefact?

Big thunderstorm (sound and light show) has pasted over Bendigo, 9mm in the gauge which came down fast enough to overflow the gutters.

Southern NSW and NE Vic stand to gain some reasonable rain over the next few days.
