A good nights sleep.
Not sure what the weather will do though
Absolutely howling wind and hosing down in Carnegie... just got back from Gippsland and saw some very impressive lightning strikes on the way.
Looks like I'd better wait before heading out again
pretty steady rain here and Jnr LTB just arrived home and said that a tree came down in the lane from a neighbour's house and has blocked the garage door. Can't wait to fire up the chainsaw in the morning - that'll shake things up the Sackville Ward
Need some help? Plenty advice available from other threads
Solid blow. A little rain, but not a huge amount here in Canterbury.
Same here, almost over before it began. Short and sharp with a little rain, hopefully more to come
BOM general outlook, for March until May.
Few flashes, few rumbles and now just rain here.
11th year of our annual street party here in Aspendale - never once has it rained.
Well somebody paid us back for all those good years.......cyclonic wnds and rain rolled in about 8:45pm and 50 people were scrambling to pack down/remove a multitude of gazebos, folding chairs, Eskies, BBQ, plastic wine glasses, chips, dogs, gas lights!
At least I have not have as much to drink as last year - the photographic evidence will be much kinder.
still pelting in tallarook....decent wind gusts
Solid rain here now in Canterbury.
Wind gust of 128 km/h recorded at St Kilda.
I'm not sure id wanna be up there tonight in the yurt on the side of the hill!
Got caught in Brunswick in it where it got nasty. Been in Carlton now and it just hammered for half an hour. Still coming down nicely in the city and I'd be feeling rather damp
Been raining out here for a couple of hours now of heavy steady rain, no light show or thunder though. Good totals in the SE now and Gippsland will cop it overnight. A beautiful night to watch some TV and listen to the pouring rain.
Insurance claim lodged. Sleeping on floor in living room tonight!
Hope you're all OK.
We're fine, just some water through the ceiling.
A 2 year old boy died last night when a tree smashed through the house he was in. Horrible.

That's a decent bit of wind, right on bay I guess.
We had a nice 19mm of steady rain, bugger all wind.
you needed to ask vermillion to talk to the guy upstairs! last week I was worried about the brunswick south west ps fete with this rain event.....and he managed to defer it for a day....friday night was a beauty for a fete....thanks verm!
Same here. Feb 2015 for us east of Melbourne has turned out great.
We've totalled around 90mm for the month!
Very little extreme heat and although humid at times, that is to be expected with all the rain.
All in all been a ripper compared to some Feb's we've had recently
