-7 for Canberra tonight. That's a bit frosty.
Stumbled home from drinks tonight in Melbourne. A brisk 4c on the way home. My face and ears are glowing from the cold.
Plan on being up at 6am to head into the city for a freezing sunrise.
These are the moments that i live for in Melbourne and why I love our city so much.
3.1 in my Hornsby Shire valley atm.
Yep I'm heading out for a run shortly. Love the cold mornings. Canberra -7 atm so we're balmy in comparison!
Yep they're the best aren't they.
Not yet quite 1c yet. The suburbs are freezing mind you
It's .. minus -10 in Goulburn nsw that's officially firkin cold in my books
Interesting it was wind dependent as soon as some wind picked up back above 0 and then when calm back down to -5c or so and then if calm for a bit longer -7c or -10c in some areas.
Currently at the shrine of remembrance. It's damn cold. For Melbourne town anyway. Lots of frost on the ground around in the gardens and grass.
Yeah frost on the lacrosse ground at royal park...but so much less frost in melbourne with the UHI these than i remember 40 years ago.
The Australian ski industry and climate change denial continues
I still think that the ski industry mounting a class action for damages against the Australian fossil fuel industry is the biggest legal free-hit you could imagine.
GFS is my favourite tonight
Something on EC on the 14th, but GFS doesn't agree and the temperatures look a bit crap.
14th system on GFS showing only a shallow trough as it crosses the Bight but does show reasonable Frontogenesis and moisture. What follows behind does however look intrigueing.
