a thunderstorm near Cairns this afternoon. Must be damn cold at that height.Really not sure how to categorize these clouds that drifted over this morning.
Looked like wafer thin Alt-Cu or maybe weird Cir-Cu, anybody got any ideas?

I saw them too from our side of the hill, they were beautiful.

Some images above from my flight from the 21st to the 22nd from Brisbane to Heathrow. Very beautiful scenery especially around the arctic circle flying from Tokyo into London, and I was lucky enough to get a window seat too.
