Yep, went up for that first leg warmer. I was most surprised that they had not opened the Supertrail. Perhaps they missed the fact that "I" was coming?

All man made, lots of fun in the morning, cement under sand in the arvie. Some cookies about, and very ugly off the man made runs. Everyone do their snow dances, do they need to be naked?

In the morning there was no one around, later there was a lot of staff having a run, maybe alot of people warming up for the snowboarding intake, skiers were way outnumbered. Do many young people new to snowsports take up skiing?

Hit a roo just outside Jindy, in my 6 month old van. Yippee, I dont need to be precious about it anymore.

    Nice one telecrag.

Sand on concrete is a symptom of snow making.

I went years without hitting a roo. Got my first one about 3 months back. Busted the front plastic bumper on the hilux. Have a bit of grey tape holding it together now but it's not too bad. Then got my second coming home on the Nyngan-Condobolin Road on tuesday night. Hit it in exactley the same spot as the first one. Absolutely no damage as the broken plastic bumper was able to deform - since the bolts have already been ripped out.

New Hilux coming in two weeks with bull bar. Yippee.

    Nice! Very Jealous indeed.

Bombshelter hotel is open for business this weekend somewhere around Rams Heads, yell out if you or K10 are up for a windy weekend. Ski testing will commence ASAP.

Just a question about the person you were filming in that video. What's the go with bending that one knee while skiing and lifting the heel off the ski? How is that possible anyway? I thought your boots were locked into your skis. I'm only a new skier but I dont get this.

Yep SB, Dangerspouse has taken a leaf out of your book. Never skied in her life, so I figured with the excellent conditions (see F'ked) for the weekend it would be a good idea to take her BC to learn.... [IMG]

At least you'll get to give the tent a good run in. Is that your plan? Trap her in the tent in fould weather and that way she can't run away! [IMG]

Close but not quite. The weight should actually be even on both skis, using the edges to turn, similar to carving on alpine. It is the most fun (IMO) , and one of the hardest forms of sliding on the snow.

First turn of first run on first resort day of the season (last Saturday) was on alpine skis(for a change) and what do you think I did
I tried to bend the knee and nearly crashed [IMG]
Being locked in felt weird to me and I changed to tele on the Sunday
Maybe I will only do alpine skiing socially from now on [IMG]
Yes that's what I will be trying hard to master this season, which is foreign comming from an alpine background to tele.

hehe telecrag, at the 2.40ish point, the shadow of the cam mounted on your helmet? makes you look more like a teletubby than a telemarker [IMG]

Ran into copyright issues first go, so started using stuff from an old band I was in. Used em all up last season so its repeato time. I just pick the one thats the right (or close) length. It was a pub band, so you know, sex, drugs, and rocknroll...

Bugger about your car, I took a decent amount of paint off my dad's bumper yesterday, still got 6 weeks to paint it up so he won't notice [IMG]

I look forward to having another few turns with you at the end of next month [IMG]
