    Big freeze overnight.
Today is very very crunchy off piste.
Think corrugated iron a la Salvador Dali
Sponars is shut for the season.
    No T2B, have to download.
tc not remotely contemplating Waimea, the groomed cat track was narrow and fast with frozen sharks lurking everywhere either side!

Described by Reggie as the worst four minutes of the season, the crossing to Antons was almost unskiable. What do you do on days like this?

First decent freeze for sometime and there is a lot of water in the snow! I think it is great that Sponars lasted as long as it did as it is usually shut earlier. Thanks KT.

The Powder Bowl was fun, but Anton's was great. Some fresh, some windblown, no people and a couple of hours lapping. Even better no. 1 started to get off piste.

But we did have to download, which I strangely enjoyed.

When tc and I downloaded on Monday there was a dropped board and ski under the Merrits chair.
Has the dropped booty grown or been scavenged?

@NewTurns there was much excitement this morning, which turned out to be justified. The upload added to this.

The Powder Bowl was filled in and still relatively untracked. We helped Fix that issue, but didn't stop for photos till the end where we didn't have to take our skis off.

After coffee and hot chocolate it was off to Anton's with more tracks to create. T'was windy but lots of boot deep and sometimes shin deep fun.

The afternoon was spent at the Basin where the Tors was the pick. Thought we'd traverses over to Anton's for some (relatively) protected fun to finish the day. This idea didn't seem so good at the top of The Falls, so we took the ST option which was a fun mix of fresh, wind blown, crud, mud and short walk to finish.

Think I saw you this afternoon. As there were only 4 people doing laps it is almost a certainty. LOL The wind is supposed to pick up tomorrow. Hopefully no wind holds.

Daughter and I will be skiing Sunday, maybe Monday. Just decided and leaving for Thredbo now.
Low expectations for snow quality, but getting out for a ski in the mountains isn't a bad option this long weekend.

Sunday will be sunny but I can't imagine there will be a ton of people out.
I can never remember these fashion reports about who's wearing what, so say just hello to other people on the chair.

Heading home tomorrow but if its sunny we'll throw in a couple of early hours up in the Basin and Merritt's. Need elevation to avoid the worst of the slow snow.

Yeah, trying to find the guy in the red jacket with black pants is a bit like Where's Wally here. Ended up coming in early 'cause I cracked an edge. Ski now being operated on, so tomorrow morning's back on.

Yeah but I think I asked a guy in black jacket and red pants who was wrangling a couple of Billy Lids. 'ARE YOU La Neige FROM THE SKIFORUMS? (Shouted over wind at top of Merritt's)...looks at me, like I'm a complete knobhead........Ha!

I'm looking at investing in getting a sticker and iron ons made with my pink princess bear avatar and LMB on it for next season. Then there will be no doubt. I'm out and proud ski.com.au - quite happy to talk to anyone, so why not make it easy to be found. It'll just lock me in to the Avatar for a while, but I haven't changed it yet..

Today was good, given the available terrain. Very windy to start, but that kept the temps down. Plenty of cover up high.
Easy skiing on some fresh stuff in The Basin and Antons. Finished up at Merritt's which was a bit gluey.

So what's the guess for tomorrow? It's going to precipitate in the morning - rain or snow?

And if anyone wants a beer at 5pm os so somewhere in the village, post here or pm's.

I f I am coming up from Khancoban via Thredbo to Charlotte's Pass will I need to get chains in Jindabyne?.There is a lot of snow falling late in the season and I am tempted to drive up from Melbourne within the fortnight and make the most of it all .

You need to remember that the road from Khancoban to Thredbo is closed atm, depends on where you live but from my house (eastern suburbs) to Jindabyne is about 5 minutes longer going through Bairnsdale. in NSW you don't need chains if you have a AWD/4WD.
