Speaking of BC pics, at this time of year I used to most enjoy Richard's report. Dude was the king of Siggie Hill, which btw still looks super juicy on the Kossie track cam. Anyone heard from/of him lately?

PS, the 1st lift on Slow Gun is 9.00AM, plus a bit ish.

If you thought Thredbo was sleepy in Winter, check out Spring.

Had some issues and left Thredbo before the ski season.

Stunning, but very hot, day today for a walk up from Snowgums and a few Signature runs although we certainly were not lonely!

There are some huge piles of snow in the resort where they have been clearing the snow from the mob trails...it is a shame that we cannot keep it until next year! The snow is disappearing quickly on the flat areas but the slopes are still fun albeit very soft.

I've had my first spring ski at Thredbo. To be honest, much less snow than I expected.

My plan was to ski into Leatherbarrell creek from Ramshead - the first 150m from the top are now rock. The only access is from the western side at the top of the drainage. Instead I skied down to Bogong Creek from Ramshead - good snow cover, but the dust has moved in and the snow was slow. Fantastic day out though - completely buggered now and having a beer at the bistro.

Have to come up with a plan for tomorrow.

No matter how much snow we get in a season the west facing slopes are always going to have thin cover due to wind scouring and melt in the afternoon sun. The positive being that all that scoured snow ends up on the east facing slopes.

I know, I just had high expectations, and may have believed just a little bit too much of the marketing hype. Still massive amounts of snow in the right areas for this time of year.

Does anybody know what the excavator is doing at the bottom of the Supertrail in the web cam today and yesterday?

They are working hard on the downhill and flow trails although today’s rain, and snow up high, might slow them down a little. It appears that the all mountain trail may take a little longer.
