    What day was that?

On Saturday (the day I saw queues of that length), I went to the pool around 2.30pm. The tickets (for the 365) were very slow to read / load.

The guy apologised because it was "busiest day of the year". I didn't think to ask if he meant this calendar year, or all any day, or some other metric.

Had a great four days this trip. Was even better to finish it off with some great runs on the All Mountain today. Two fantastic runs with hero dirt, and my eye finally came in.

All up, 8 days riding on the 365 this summer, plus a few trips up to the top of the mountain for walks, numerous trips to the pool (I wish they turned the temperature up though), Bobsled, and a range of other things.

I didn't win the $5k Easter Egg hunt though... but the kids had fun.

The balance payment should be deducted from the credit card you used to pay for the deposit on 30 April. I'd alerted Thredbo last week that the card id used to pay the deposit was no longer valid. Received a call yesterday from them to pay the balance over the phone however we were in Thredbo for Easter so id already popped into guest services to sort it out.

15 days riding for me, hoping to make it back for Sunday, would be my first race since 2010, but I have a bloody cold now, gggrrr.

The stat I heard on Saturday was that Easter Saturday is traditionally the busiest day of the year to climb Kosci. I image this does add to the pool and bobsled etc being busy.

Just spent 35 minutes on hold trying to get in touch with Thredbo to update credit card details ahead of the final season pass payment. I gave up. That's pathetic.

[edit - tried again on Friday morning and got through almost straight away]

No, the site doesn't have that. An email just came out -

"If your credit card details have recently changed, you can update your new card details by contacting Thredbo Guest Services on 1300 020 589 (9am - 5pm daily)."

We got similar, but with a link to a place on their website to update details. Perisher’s is definitely better!

Great day on the TVT. Not too busy and great weather. A little dusty in spots but fine.

Miss 10 and 8 made it. Miss 8 saying never again, Miss 10 had a ball.

No easy street. I had to convince myself to do flow. Only the top makes it bearable.

Gee I wish they would stop flattening out the rock gardens with fibreglass bridging up top, it’s annoying.

It was, but non stop does not mean fast. A couple of blind drops I pretty much tilted over to make sure I wasn’t going to die. Overall it’s not as hard as I thought, just rough. Fox 36 and 29er helped.

I've done sections, but not the whole thing in years, when I had DH bikes. I recall doing it non stop, but it hurt! Not really hard, but relentless.

Yeah, that’s how I saw it. Constantly rough.

One section where the rocks are steep and go forever, if it goes pear shaped it’s gonna hurt. It doesn’t seem to have changed a heap since early noughties, I mean small realignments but rock sections largely familiar.

So, tomorrow they say snow. But not much.

    Will it close MTB?

I could go up this arv but I’d be burning a day ticket (that if I can’t go Friday would be burnt anyway, it’s prepaid).

If it does snow they will probably close the MTB trails. As it is Sunday s currently planned as last day for MTB.

But I think they’d be keen to still run the chainless race down Easy Street on Sunday as a last woohaa for the season.

Went today. Kosi went on wind hold for bikes. I doubt bikes will be allowed up tomorrow. Felt like it was a good call and the boy had crew.

Awesome to watch 8-9 year olds ripping.

Oh, and @Untele-whippet easy street got a run.

Windy up here today. Kozzie Chair closed and Gunbarrel running very slowly. Don't think the MTB trails will get up much.

Pool / Bobsled definitely not as busy as post Christmas / New Years period. But the village was jammed. I suspect less MTB riders too. Still quite busy when you consider gunbarrel was going.

Sought a little soul-i-tude in Thredbo today. Kosi chair on windhold so had a peaceful wander part way up Merritt’s nature track then back down and along Meadows.

    I love the mountains.

So the balance of payment for season passes came off cards a few days ago. I got an email from Thredbo that mine had failed. I phoned and it turns out that if you paid the deposit on Paypal their system could not take the balance. I had till Friday, tomorrow , to pay by phone.

Friend of mine had the job to knock them down, one photo was at the top in the big machine, next it was all flat. He is always a bit sad to knock it down, but at least he gets to make a new one in October/November! he has basically been contracted to make trails more seasonally adjustable, so less work to transition (relatively speaking, it is a shit load of work). A lot of the realignments have been for this reason (taking big berms off groomer sections for instance). Love his work! And its not just him. Stopped and chatted with work crews I saw out, KT and NT, they all seemed to be really into their job, so good to see.

Is the new final section of the flow trail, the berms leading down to the bottom of the lift, staying in place for the ski season? Could be a mighty fun challenge on skis. (I call it the "Rapids" section after the old name for the runs under the bottom of Kosci).

I've made a mental note of where the ultra-bermy section of the All Mountain emerges on to the steep pinch of High Noon. With enough snow...and maybe a bit of love with a snow shovel...another awesome mini skiercross run?

Skiing along tracks harder than you would think. After a heavy snow storm I decided to ski from DHG along the track to the village. I was stuffed by the end.

Also the gaps where they run under trees, shrinks! I have followed some for short periods, and @climberman once found one down Dream Run I believe?

That section has been made tight in the trees, for the very reason of leaving it, like the tree/tight/berm section off Highnoon, and Supertrail.

Had a crack at it a couple of times last year with about 20cm of fresh. It's the Thredbo bobsled on skis! At least the berms are clay, not to hard on the bases if you push through the snow. Fun bucket list item to do at least once in your life.

The DHG track is a bit of a different situation though...it has many steps and up and down sections, it would be barely rideable on a bike. Top effort on skis!

I skied lower Funnelweb out onto the golf course and down the golf course last season, that was actually very easy and quite fun.

How to play the Thredbo golf course.

First make sure it is open.

First hole is always a bit tricky to get your eye in.

However the course opens up into a forgiving par 5.

Just when it seemed easy you hit the short but challenging par 3.

So make sure to avoid the rough.

Don't forget to bring your drop shot.

Before finishing strong on the last hole.

And remember everybody can get a hole in one at Thredbo.

All shots from a great day on the 7/8/18, except the doughnut, that's everyday!
