Not a bad morning. Went up Death Barrel in a high wind. Can't say I was sorry to get to the top. Apart from the wind, visibility is good. Nicely groomed corn on the Anton's runs. Supertrail soft to the bottom (not slushy). Having a croissant at The Bakery as I write.

I took the day off :p

Bluebird day now, though the wind is making me freak out on the chairs a bit.

Getting a few dirt patches at bottom of little beauty compared to last weekend.

Great cover still although the current strong winds are a problem. Came across this Echidna in the back country. I think he was planning to huck the cornice.

Is that golf course bowl? I am keen to try that but it might need to be a next year goal.

Beginning of this season I was still downloading on Gunbarrel more often than not, and today I warmed up on HN and went up T-bars by myself and down black runs by myself. Didn’t even go to cruiser area at all! So proud

Quite a lot of southbound traffic, will be some big holdups tonight. Accident 13km south of Bredbo just north of Numeralla River. Pantech on its side in the ditch beside the road, splintered caravan in the middle of the road. Probably won't be cleared in a hurry.

May be a good idea to grab a coffee and have a "pit" stop in Bredbo.

Just went though. Traffic hold up wasn’t too bad but that’ll change later when more snow bound come trough.

They’re is still a bit of clearing to still be done. The caravan well what was a caravan is still in place and they’re still going around spraying paint for the investigation.

Wind hold for Kosi and GB this morning, likely to come off when wind changes direction. Everything else open.

Hmm, I WAS thinking of skiing Thredbo tomorrow after an interrupted season (I have 3 days left of my 4 day flexipass). BOM forecast doesn’t look promising in terms of wind. @LaNeige , @telecrag, and other seasoned Thredbo people, what’s the vibe re wind hold (“westerly, 45-60kmh early then turning north-westerly ...”). I am going to be up next weekend, too .... (thanks @zac150 :)).

I'm biased, but you'll be able to get up the hill on Snowgums or Merritt's and then hit the t-bars. The crowd shouldn't be too bad.

I suspect that NW wind will be ok, but the W might be a problem.

Someone who guessed Gunbarrell may go on windhold!

First couple of Supertrail and Basin were great but, at the same time the wind picked up, the mountain turned to superglue. We need a freeze

Gonna be quite hot until Monday evening (so says the forecast). Next weekend looks a bit dire, damn! Still, you can't trust the forecast 100% this far out.

Snap! I must have been in the queue behind you, @Olgreg ! Got up the mountain before they closed Kosi (now open again). I can confirm snow is sticky and the scones at Eagles Nest are rather yummy. Bare patches in places but still good spring cover. Let’s see if I survive Cannonball after morning tea

had one of the first runs down from Kosi this morning with the lad. Was great, only to line back up on Kosi then it hit wind hold as we got to the gate. We did contemplate going straight to basin but trublue was groomed and looking mint, so we had to go down.

We then slowgumsed it up and cut across to Sponars. He discovered you could travers across to holy bowly so we did that a couple of times and the big jump on the lower half too. Went off the side of the jump (so not the middle uppy bit), I was air for nearly the whole down section. To say I shit myself would be an understatement. Fark!

Snow conditions were soft from the start today and even felt sticky up top.

I would say there was zero crowds but with Kosi, Gunbarrel, and Cruiser on windhold there was a sizeable crowd. No doubt if we went to Basin first up it would have been empty all day

Yeah I was waiting for friends, and saw everyone come through. We hit True Blue srcond run, it was nice. Then a bit of Sponars glue, before I talked everone into HN download to go back up, lucky us Kosi was back, so repeated, so nice.
