not working for me.. whenever i log in using the right log in and password it just reloads back to the same screen.
Good idea but
Anyone else ordered a new Club card this year? I ordered and paid, still havnt received it almost 2 weeks later.
nope not yet but I remember my card took about a month to arrive last year.
It might be like the season pass, you pick it up on your first visit from VT, unless you request it posted? Pretty funny if they dont have mine on Friday. I paid for it up there a couple of weeks ago, but they didnt have the actual cards yet.
anyone else get the email re the 'Thrifty Fifty' 50% off day pass? They are offering a single day pass (can be used at anytime through the season) for 50% off. The deal is only on offer this Friday via their online store
yeah great deal, i will be getting it
OK ...now this is offically freaky.....
i've signed in - gone to add photo...

it dosnt work for me devooossss
Got my +1 my thredbo card in the mail today, 8 working days, & Im in QLD, not too bad. Still waiting for mine though.
Mine took about 2 weeks but I have it now.
Now i've got a question, has anyone with both perisher and thredbo cards tried using the gates with both cards in your pocket? I have a little pouch that straps onto my arm that I use in Japan and was just going to use that, but don't know if having both cards will freak out the reader or not.
I guess i'll find out when I head down there in July....... Happy to be a guinea pig on this one. Apologies if you get stuck behind me in the lift que while I try this.
im still waiting for mine
I just realised I had my season pass on my sleeve, and my Thredbo Club in my wallet - I had no problems with the reading of the season pass.
should be fine.
I'd imagine diff frequencies
BTW you don't need a arm pouch. Its more sensitive than japan.
has anyone else had trouble with registering for a mythredbo pass? ive tried to set these up for myself and family (upload photo and order them etc) but the thredbo site has crashed each time. I'm now onto my 5th or 6th attempt and its still not working properly
attention mythredbo IT nerds....get your act together!!
mine worked OK....
though this was before the great crash of 10.06.2011
I had not received my pass after ordering it 2 weeks ago.
I contacted thredbo about it and my order was on hold due to lack of profile pic
the lovely lady (Tracy I think) helped me out and pointed me in the right direction.
She was very helpful and gave me an excellent 1st impression for thredbo staff.
faaarrrrkk. Ive uploaded the pics, go to check out and the bloody thing crashes EVERY TIME. Thats about 10 times over the last 2 weeks
not happy jan
you hav seperate accounts for all of em? or one account -with seperate indentities.
That's good to know, and its funny when people end up hugging the scanner trying to get their pass to work. Makes the arm pouch such a good buy =)
I got mine only took about 10 days.
I would sign up your self Dave and then as one extra at a time.
Tracy is fantastic and has been there a long time, she and I used to work together. This is the second great rap I've heard about her in the past 3 weeks.
My Card on the long weekend was a major stuff up. As we all know, systems crashed when they put the 50% discount up on the Friday of the long weekend. There was a window of about 2 hours you could actually get the discount... that was the time we were in the car driving up there so couldn't access it. Next day, couldn't buy a day pass for the following day until after 4pm (WTF???). Boo for them... didn't buy it, woke up to rain and decided not to pay the full $107 (yep, no discount) to ski 2 runs in the rain. So we didn't ski! More than made up for it socialising all weekend... had the best weekend ever!!!
I tried to register tonight, I have NFI if I am or not cause I never got any confirmation. Once I registered I changed my email and phone, then tried to order a Thredbo card which popped my old email and phone. I've sent them an email cause I don't know whats happening-seriously sucks on usability.
seperate accounts (1 for me, wife and 2 kids). Finally got the system to work last week and cards (Thredbo Club card for me and MyThredbo pass for wife and kids) arrived in the post yesterday HOWEVER...
the card is printed in colour but photo, name and id numbers are printed in dodgy washed out black and white - to the point of being barely legible.
Is everyone elses card like this? 9my Thredbo Club Card last year was full colour pic etc). Wondering whether the printer ran out of ink and I've got a dud batch ..
Mine looks washed out too. I guess people will have to look at your face to see what you look like.
mine is a joke too.
doesn't really matter what it looks like though...
It doesn't matter what the picture looks like on the card, it's what comes up on the readers that matters, and those are clear and in full colour.
i used to go to tombarra lodge
I have grown a beard since taking the photo, so when wearing a beanie and goggles they will only be able to see the tip of my nose.
I can't see to find a FAQ or an answer to my question on the Thredbo website, although I could be wrong, it's a big website.
Anyway, as I have my myThredbo card from last year, I assume when I purchase this year's lift ticket it automatically gets updated on the card?
Also I put some credit on my myThredbo card at the Village Terminal to save me having to carry cash around (I've found it difficult using a debit or credit card almost anywhere and my cash seems to vanish with every mountain purchase I make), and on at least 2 occasions the staff I handed it to were confused as to what to do with it i.e. had to ask a supervisor / other staff member. This was August, well into the season. So it sounds like either not many customers think it's useful, or not many are aware of it. Not many cafes/pubs offered to take it, but it was useful for the ones that did.
To be honest, I just had another look on the website and can't find anything about it.
The card is associated with your account, so as long as you see it on your account that "should" be the one you are updating.
You need to be at http://store.thredbo.com.au/eStore/ NOT thredbo.com.au
The usability of the website has not been well thought out in this regard, ie: you cant browse lessons and then "click through" to the estore and purchase, you have to first find the link to the store, (not that obvious in some screens) then find the relevant lesson package, possibly even with a different name to the one you were looking at on the thredbo website, it's almost like there are two completely different teams developing these sites in parallel, and only sharing their updates / info on a monthly basis.
But then iT has never been a strong point at KT, just ask all the staff who had to deal with the retarded cash register system early last year
What happens if I have 4 Thredbo cards. Do I have to nominate which one I load or can I just rock up with one and know it will be the one I need to use for that day?
When you load up a product, it loads into your account and not the card. My understanding is that you can use any card (provided they're all connected to the same account) without nominating which one first. I talked to an employee at VT when I was in Thredbo and they said you can only use one card on a day though, as their system triggers if two or more cards are used (it's to prevent multiple people using one account). Theoretically you could use a different card every day and it would still work, though.
Makes sense. Thanks.
yes can use any card. I had to purchase a second card recently as I left my regular card in my ski jacket, the guest service member said I can now keep one in the jacket and one with my riding gear.
I must have three or four of them.
None of them seem to be with me in the mountains.
You must be my child!
