so questioned them on facie and got a decent reply.
Last year I bought reaper chillis from coles and infused them in vodka. It had the heat but it was missing the grittiness from the bottom of the jug.Ha!
I sent this to a girlfriend earlier today

Kareela will continue on the time honoured basis of “People you know, Darling” they pick it up on the wine and other beverage charges. What will the booking fee at Kareela be in response![]()
Nice, they are no longer dead to me.so questioned them on facie and got a decent reply.

Small problem - it's not sub-leasing.Big a difference between booking a table and event hire. Credit card deposit is fine for all table bookings and I'm surprised it's not used more often. Still wondering how the fine print on the KT lease for sub-leasing is...
This one will be sure to stir up some opinions here I’m sure- Black Sallee’s are now taking bookings with a deposit:

But these are premium tables ...Crikeys
Even table minding is premium
Why scalp your booked table when you can simply stack a free table and sell it on.I'll be keen to hear about someone hanging around outside Black Sallees trying to scalp their table booking because there's no friends on a pow day.
Epic marketing failure on their part.Well that was much ado about nothing much. Looks like we can still get a decent cup of coffee on mountain without taking out a personal loan.
Should be vegas style. You can buy this table. It'll cost you 2 grand, and comes with a giant bottle of vodka and unlimited mixer refillsEpic marketing failure on their part.
Could have been promoted better for a better a vibe!!!!!!! (Anyone else getting flashbacks to Mizu?)
Try "we now have a few of our premium seating areas available for a hire fee" and even take the money up front. Its really poor form to not include some of that cost to food and beverage fees.

Rented out leased space then, pedantSmall problem - it's not sub-leasing.
What's the issue? What is wrong with this? It may be crap marketing, but I would be very, very surprised if if it against any term in the lease.Rented out leased space then, pedant![]()
We are learning some big lessons about messaging and clarity of communication this year.Obviously @Scoober wasn't the only one to query, they posted with a clearer message about what its about, opening with please read carefully, 97% of the space is still walk in only.
Didn't think the Captain would do what it first looked like hey!
This is why most large organisations have marketing, legal and comms people to check everything before going out to the publicWe are learning some big lessons about messaging and clarity of communication this year.

What's wrong with taking a credit card number to hold a booking with a very clear directive that money will be deducted for a now show instead of ripping off your customers to pay over $100 for a table for an hour plus food and drinks for no table service? There's a pretty good reason we don't frequent BS and we're certainly not about to start nowWhat's the issue? What is wrong with this? If Thredbo thought lease terms were being violated they'd be all over it like a fat kid on a smartie. They would have shut it down within an hour of the post gong up.What's wrong with taking a credit card number to hold a booking with a very clear directive that money will be deducted for a now show instead of ripping off your customers to pay over $100 for a table for an hour plus food and drinks for no table service? A friend recently had a tenant sub-lease premises that my friend owns, and it was in their particular contract that this was illegal. It's not that uncommon for this to be written into a lease (even though its way too common in the apartment industry).
awww crap. could be worse I suppose, it could cost me a $200 non refundable hire fee.
You may have noticed my comment about crap marketing. Your comment has nothing to do with sub-leasing.What's wrong with taking a credit card number to hold a booking with a very clear directive that money will be deducted for a now show instead of ripping off your customers to pay over $100 for a table for an hour plus food and drinks for no table service? Oh that menu. Yum
I remember my first $50 steak, that was back around 2003 and it was $50 just for the steak, any sides were additional cost. It was amazing though it was from the restaurant at the regal airport hotel where my folks were living at the time.Haha, had a $50 steak once in Thredbo, I reckon it was only $15 over priced!
Its a bit like they never eat out anywhere else in the country really.
Good luck to you both!
Don't you worry, I won't be paying! I won't be missing out on any fun eitherPoor marketing yes
Don't like the fee don't pay
Pretty simple
Great idea to guarantee a table
I had a lovely meal at Burrawang Hotel today.Haha, had a $50 steak once in Thredbo, I reckon it was only $15 over priced!

Lovely guys and great food.
Good to hear! Haven't been to the T Bar in a long time. Not really sure why... I think we got put off with the whole pizza thing. But happy to give it a go this year.Lovely guys and great food.
We ate there Sunday night. Worth supporting keen new business owners in making their new venture a huge success.
Their veggie breakfast burrito is amazing.Shout out to my mates in Avalanche (though I don't know the new cook), quite possibly the best E&B roll I have had commercially. New buns this season are a winner, and it was cooked so right for a takeaway, egg set enough to not spurt on your jacket, but not over done.
Not that they need any extra business.
Hope they're doing proper bread and not that stupid sweet brioche that was trendy for a few years? Yep it's my favourite morning stop in Thredbo. Even if I've had brekky at home I sometimes get tempted into second brekky. Coffee is not too bad either.Shout out to my mates in Avalanche (though I don't know the new cook), quite possibly the best E&B roll I have had commercially. Bottom (and top) of stairs at Crackenback chair.where is avalanche?
