Maybe... possibly they could off Snowgums to Bunny Walk. I don't think so though. For Saturday I'm picking FF, Cruiser, High Noon

I was thinking of Cruiser tomorrow, but I just bought a $7500 carbon Stumpie, so will go for a ride instead. Next week will be the season opener (resort) for me. Fingers crossed for some cold air after the W/E. Shes lookin good at the moment Wangster :), when are you heading up for a ski? Do you get a chance mid week?

    It's looking great!

I will get up there mid-week but it'll strictly be 8.30 to 10.30 each morning. Currently investigating whether I can work Saturday and take Sunday-Monday off instead. It's not likely though so hard 2 hour sessions will probably be it.

Thredders says Cruiser and Merrits open Friday...

Any day skiing is better than one not, plus there is always the Rec Centre too. If you got the Early Bird Platinum Season pass, its free....

Top of High Noon this morning

Sketchy in places but overall pretty good - especially considering it's June 13th!

For the 2nd week of the season that was some pretty decent snow out there today, high noon was in better condition than I expected. Excuse the quality of the pics, they're from my phone.

I would just like to say thanks to The Wang for blogging as it was your blog that confirmed it for me that I should ski today, not that I need much convincing.

    So thanks Wang.

Sorry no photos the camera died but I think Wang supplied some very good photos.

My daugther was playing in snow in the beer garden at the Pub and said I think theres a fox outside near the emu statue

When I went and looked over the railing it was a BIG feral cat sitting under the table outside Alfresco

Never seen one that far up the valley B4 [IMG]

Lots of wildlife on the road friday night too
Roos, deers, rabbits, foxes, possums, wombats, and a cow walked out in front of us at Winter Park

I think there's still a fair bit of wildlife around at the moment. Hasn't been enough traffic on the road or people around the village to scare it all off yet, I guess.

I saw the emus near Thredbo Diggings on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, saw a couple of wallabies on Saturday right next to the road. Didn't see any loose cows though! [IMG]

There was a cow or a bull loose on the Alpine Way last night on dusk just near the silvertop entrance. It was happily standing on the edge of the road munching it's way along the verge.

That's bad. Hopefully those cows have been round up!

Haven't seen brumbies or deer as yet this winter but they're definitely out there.

I stopped at the police station in Jindy and reported it. Someone else got there first but had given them the wrong road (kosci road) and they were having trouble finding it.

Yeah I told the Nat Parks about the one on Friday and they rang the police - maybe it got out again !

Wild life was bad on Tuesday night as well
Poor Telecrag hit a roo just before east Jindy - I'll let him tell the story

We saw alot of roo's on the Alpine way too as well as some deer stags, wombats, foxes and rabbits and nearly hit a possum

Early season and a bit of moisture = go slow ATM people

It was clouded over while I was there so I couldn't really take a look. But they opened Kosci.... surely Antons won't be far off with the snowmaking on the bottom section now

Skiing was sweet today. Kosci opened for skiers ~10am. I think they will push for Antons by the weekend, just needs some work on the t-bar track. The bottom section actually had a decent cover before this fall.

you mean they weren't firing them all day today ? Perisher definitely was, although I kind of wish they had let up for a few hours.
