Not bad. On their website in regards to this promo they list what it entails to complete the 2k vertical, not hard. It was like 2xrides on kosi 2xgunbarrel 2x snowgums.

Does anyone else have and use the My Thredbo app and use the run tracking?

I did 3007m vertical in 2hrs30min in one afternoon and that was lapping the cruiser and skiing to VT.

550 vertical on Kosi so only 4 laps needed.
Less than an hours worth of skiing.

The yanks are much smarter than us when it comes to spelling. I don't pronounce meter like a frenchman, why would I spell it like one?

The classic endurance challenges should be in reference to the big mountains...

Everest summit to base camp = more than 3698m of vert = 7 laps of Kosciuszko Express

(this is also the same as Mt Cook sea to summit)

Denali summit to base camp = more than 3994m of vert = 8 laps of Kosci

Denail summit to sea = more than 6195m of vert = 12 laps of Kosci

Everest summit to sea = more than 8848m of vert = 17 laps of Kosci

These are surprisingly achievable I reckon!

The yanks corrupted the English language about two centuries ago, chiefly to simplify spelling, and following the American Revolutionary War, the draw of patriotism. Not so smart as to teach their citizens to get a grasp on the original spelling then.

It's irrelevant what the pronunciation is, or should be, as the English language is crammed with words not pronounced phonetically. A language that also has taken much from other tongues. Take 'Kindergarten' or 'Pizza' as random examples. Of course we can change the spelling to 'Peetsar' or 'Pittsa, or choose to remain faithful to the proper spelling.

'Traveler's checks' in my view is a checklist for a traveller, and a 'Snow tire' is something that can cause fatigue when skiing . Could go on for pages, here

I was taught standard regular Queen's English of England, Rule Britannia. The language brought to Oz directly from the Old Dart. I follow the spelling that was drilled inside during school years.

I'm staying loyal to my heritage.

American English is closer to the English spoken by Shakespeare than whichever modern dialect you deem to be correct. You're talking about a difference between the opinion of two different people. Samuel Johnson and Noah Webster. Neither man invented the spellings in their respective dictionaries, but selected common spellings of the time when English spelling had yet to be standardised. Both spelling systems are the reflection of the two authors, not of any greater value. I prefer Websters choices because he valued simplicity over maintaining outdated and confusing spelling conventions.

Stupid heritage which reduces the literacy of English speakers from a country which committed genocide against both my peoples.

Had a solo day to my self yesterday and had a shot at the Thredbo vertical challenge leader board. This is what it looked like yesterday morning...

Ended up as below, nearly 8 hours of continually lapping High Noon, Kosi Express and a few up at Merritts...
