Have noticed the 2020 winter accommodation bookings for YHA is open already. Seems to have plenty of availability for June , July and August. Bookings don't usually open until beginning of March.
I had a quick play around on the site, but I just kept getting the same message - "Please contact the hostel directly to check availability."
I booked and paid for 3 lots of accommodation last night and received confirmation emails. Now find that NO bookings are available. I must have been very ,very lucky . Now all I need to do is to book my early September nights when they officially open the bookings.
I wasn't able to get anything for July or August but managed to grab five nights from 2 September onwards. Haven't stayed at the YHA before but I'm starting to wonder why not given I paid a similar amount for five nights there as I did for two nights (with others) in a few other spots in the village! Bring on winter!
I think July and August bookings get released at the end of February. Thank you Noah I have my September week booked too now.
Have booked a few days in September at the YHA, coming from VIC with family for a week skiing Thredbo and Perisher. Unbelievable value for a family room with 5 beds in an Australian ski resort. Couldn't believe my luck! I think it's also half price lift tickets at Thredbo for Buller season pass holders which will be another big plus. Perisher lift tickets are going to sting though!
Some of us with Perisher season passes have ‘mates’ tickets . Depending on how far in advance you book, and what days, this can be a reasonable discount. So you might want to give a shout out a month or so before you come; I will have a few
Thanks, will do. How kind and friendly you NSW and ACT people are Are they like physical vouchers or a code when you book? Or do you need to scan your season pass on the day at point of purchase?
