Seeing as there is a PB thread relating to the status of the parks I thought one for Thredders may be usefule also. Post reports and pics of updates/ features etc in this thread.

Last weekend when i was last there, there was only the cruiser park with 2 ironing boards, 2 dance floor boxes, 1 flat box and a 15 foot beginners table top Jump. I beleive High noon park is now also open with some more boxes and rails.

Judging by the pictures, High Noon terrain park doesn't look too bad at all; 12m flat-down box, 9m table, some rails etc. hopefully they have a few jumps down there as well.

Can't wait to check it out this Sunday [IMG]

You nailed it in your first post.

Thredbo Park is an oxymoron. I am not saying their set is up bad, I am just reinterating that PB is where everything hip is happening.

On the otherhand if you wanna carve, long and fast, old school style....

High Noon park is useful cuz it's on the way down from a good run - just a nice extra.

actually I do agree sbfellow, I like the placement too on that feature. Mind you I did four runs of high noon last weekend, and I forgot to even stop and have a look at the set up.

My preferred style is having the features spread around, as opposed to grouped together. I think Thredbo does that quite well.

It was awesome a few years ago, when they built the halfpipe just before the park on highnoon.

One of the best runs of the season, Hit the pipe, then drop into the park and hit a line of sliders and then go flat out down the steep sections of high noon and do that all afternoon.

    Good times at thredders!

I can definitely see now what you meant Pigface, when you said that Perisher parks are better (not direct quote of course). [IMG]

Thredbo had some nice pretty nice boxes, but is definitely seems to me like parks aren't maintained as well, or as regularly.

Also, half the goddamned features were barricaded off - weather conditions?

lets not turn this into a perisher v thredders thread. some of us ride thredders for differing reasons and it's nice to know whats on offer park wise.

Anyway I hit all 3 parks on the weekend:

High Noon has in this order:
    - down bar
    - flat - down box
    - up ironing board
    - down bar
    - bonk bin
    - flat bar and ironing board
    - c box
    - picnic table

The layout is pretty good, if you like you can hit almost every feature in one run. Just wish they would extend it and put some kickers in there. A few of the features were baricaded off on sunday, but allwere open on saturday.

    Cruiser Park has:

    - ironing board
    - dance floor box
    - flat box
    - 15ft table

Again the layout is pretty fun you can hit every feature in each run.

    Wombat World - kiddies park:
    - small flat box
    - small dance floor box

ok for beginners or a bit of alaught on your way back to gunbarrel chair.

there was hardly any crowds in any of the parks for most of the weekend.

When I went down on Sunday, the lift lines were almost non-existant. That included the Cruiser chairlift as well, dunno how it was the previous day though...

sunday there was no lines anywahere cause it was raining. saturday the lines were a little longer, nothing huge though ... like a 3-5 minute wait. no line for the t bar that services the cruiser park though.

They need a small surface lift to service top to bottom of park area. It will benefit the park riders with quick access to practice moves & tricks while also reducing the traffic on the gunbarrel.

yep rode there this weekend passed.

antons park is now open and has:
    - 30ft table top
    - 40 ft table top
    - ridercross course

High noon is looking good it has in order from top:
    - down bar
    - 15ft table top or flat/ down box
    - 30 ft transfer jump (table top with down ramp on slight angle)
    - 40ft kicker
    - up box (something else next to it too ... maybe a flat bar?)
    - c box
    - flat box

Cruiser park has had a make over with:
    - dance floor box into flat box line or
    - 35 ft hip jump
    at the top
    then in order:
    - small jump
    - 20ft table top
    - 20 ft table top
    - quarter pipe/bonk rail thing

Wombat world has only some rollers and a dance floor box.

i also some sort of surface lift would be nice for the high noon park

    Yet you wont post here:
    http://www.ski.com.au/reports/australia/nsw/thredbo/index.html

I'm sure you would complain if we discontinue the public reports however just like the thousands of other people that complained last year but never contribute to them.

    Yes I am frustrated.

the cruiser park had a bit of a re shuffle - changed the side of the hip jump and thats about it.

High noon has 2 extra down rails before the first jump

antons has a new big 50 foot kicker.
