    Hi,

I have 2 friends who will be at Tomamu December 9th onwards. They are looking for a beginners snowboard lesson but unfortunately the Gao Ski School is fully booked. Are there any alternatives?

Failing that, is a day trip to Furano possible using public transport?

Hi the resort only officially opens on 1 December. Did you try to call? They may not have posted all the availability. I find it strange they are so busy so early. I know that from past experience it was better going in there and arranging face to face as not everything was listed on the site. There are private instructors available that will travel to Tomamu if you search google. Not sure what your budget is. As for transport to Furano, there is a coach service that operates daily. https://www.access-n.jp/winter2019/en/skibus/detail/furano_tomamu.html#000051
This is probably the easiest. Good luck!
