    G'day All,

I am headingto Thredbo for the long weekend and I am crossing fingers and toes that the super trail etc will be still open.

Given we have the 'best snow in 17 years' what do you think my chances are of top to bottom skiing on the long weekend?

Looking back through some of Richards old reports, it would seem some years it has been open but the bottom is just plain sketchy!!

    Cheers

If I were a betting man I'd say yes, it will be top to bottom.

But who knows, we could get 200mm of non-frozen precipitation in the next couple of weeks, combined with an unseasonable not-cold wave and only the Basin will be left.

It's looking fairly cool through next week, with the possibility of a top up next week, so you'd have to think the groomers are a red hot chance of making the long weekend top to bottom in pretty good nick.

Mind you, I've probably just jinxed the season right there.....

2012 was a pretty good close, top to bottom, with face shot off Sponars Rock for me. Chances are good.

I mean it was last year too

They have plenty up top to move around, including the 100ft one hit wonder jump, and another top up forecast for later this week, meaning if they can move it where it needs to be and we don't get any hot tropical systems, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be skiing top to bottom this Oct long weekend...

    Maybe the question should be

"Will it be top to bottom and to the sides?"!
