A tale of woe. My ski mate has done his knee. Shite. So he can't go. I have a flight booked into Geneva on the 7th Feb. Yep that is this Thursday. Was planning on skiing for 2 weeks from 9th to 23rd Feb. Skiing anywhere easily accessible from Geneva is good eg 3V, Zermatt (preferred), Arlberg etc. Any suggestions on groups like Inghams where I could latch onto an existing ski group flying in from the UK? Then go with them on a bus/train to the resort. Maybe get to ski with some of the group? Nothing fancy. I am a blue/black piste skier with the occasional off piste foray.

In Zermatt the class 1 is more of a ski guiding class, my husband did that (my skiing is far too gentle for him). He had a great time, we still communicate with one of the guys, Swiss banker, who we refer to as the gnome of Zurich.
The classes go all day and you have lunch together in a mountain restaurant and frequently a few drinks at the end if the day.

If you end up in Arlberg book with piste to powder mountain guides.

Davos/Klosters also very accessible from Zurich. The YHA in Davos is awesome

Otherwise search for last minute ski holidays there are stacks of companies like Ingram’s and will have last min deals as they try to fill chalet beds

Thanks. I have sent a few emails this morning to Inghams and Skiworld. I will call them tonight as well.

Yeah not a bad idea. UK equivalent of here and they will be au fait with the UK based, English speaking tour group options.

I've also seen postings there getting people to fill last minute cancellations etc.

Posted a few things there. It looks good. Hopefully I can get something at this VERY late stage. This Internet thingy with these forums is really great. So much good info and helpful people on here. The Snowheads forum looks good too.

Thanks to everyone who responded with good suggestions. I posted on Chalets Direct, got an immediate reply from Ski Hame which was for a 1/2 board chalet in Meribel with airport transfers. I did contact a few other websites but this one seemed to be the best match for what I was after. So thanks everyone. This website is so useful for ski junkies and beginners too.

Just a note to thank Ski Hame https://www.skihame.co.uk/ for a great holiday. Their staff were first rate. I highly recommend them. They even let me store my ski gear in the chalet for 4 weeks whilst I did a road trip through France and Spain.

Between ski.com.au, Snowheads and Pugski, there isn't much you can't find out. I do my best to send enquiries about Japow on the other 2 sites this way.
