Just been looking at my rainfall figures - same date 2019 our YTD was 410mm, and that was better than 2017 and 2018! in 2020, our YTD was 786mm. Our YTD rainfall for 2021 is 929mm!

Condition of the cattle sum it for me. Below are 2 photos of the same cow.

Late November 2019 (hard feeding and hay), she's a bag of bones.

Mid November 2021 and she is looking great (she's the one on the right) on ZERO supplementary feed.

I could post very similar comparisons of me from 2019 to 2021! Me and that cow have a few things in common! LOL

It looks like a massive downgrade rain wise in Gippsland, which given the already saturated state everything is in, is not a bad thing. Month to date is 196.5mm, so don't really need any further rain. Need a few warm sunny days to dry things out, and maybe cut some hay.

Yeh, complete fizzer for Melbourne.
Really only the odd spot of rain today, had misty drizzle for the ride back from a meeting in Eltham this afternoon.
Quite cool and generally meh outside today.

We are up to 123mm this month. That's more than enough.

Drizzly start to the morning here in Melbourne.
Expecting that wind, from the SE to get up this afternoon.

Weather Situation: A low pressure system over NSW will move over the Tasman Sea today as a ridge of high pressure strengthens to the south of Victoria.

DAMAGING SOUTH TO SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS, averaging 50 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h, are expected across the Grampians and central ranges before extending to the eastern ranges this morning. Peak gusts of around 100 km/h are expected about the Alpine peaks.

The risk of damaging winds will contract to eastern parts of the warning area later this afternoon then ease below warning thresholds by early Saturday morning.

Locations which may be affected include Seymour, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Daylesford, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek.

The strongest gusts recorded since midnight has been 91 km/h at Mt William at 1.49am

Pretty average day really.

Overcast, no rain, winds ESE strong enough to be annoying.

Annoying is how'd id best describe the weather this arvo.

Least it is Friday and almost knock off time

I grew up sailing / camping all over the gippsland lakes in the 70s and 80s and know all about the easterlies down there.....40, 50, 60 knot easterlies and rain smashing in from the tasman and general uncomfortable weather terrible for the fish and boating in general

Wind from the east, fish bite least. Wind from the west, fish bite best.

Id say it is the nicest morning this spring so far, absolutely stunning morning, warm, sunny, very light wind. No flies.
Lots of people out and about understandably .

That E might pick up later, but enjoy the morning, im sure CC got a quality ride in.

Some cells building north of the border at Deniliquin, I expect that these will move south and affect northern regions later today.
