Back home for the week.
Yesterday was a cracking day. Great day to attack the garden.
Foggy start this morning.
Took a while to fully clear, seemed to just drift about and was very thick in spots.
At times we were in the fog but could see blue skies above us and then turn a corner and suddenly we were above it.
Made the school runs and run to Gembrook to drop another child at work pretty spectacular.

I've been keeping an eye on it, and it appears that Dartmouth reservoir will soon approach full capacity and overflow (it's currently at 97.64% capacity and has increased by over 2% in the past week). Apparently it has only overflowed 4 times since being commissioned in 1979, with the last time being in 1996.
Lake Eildon at 85% full is a good sign too. With the spring rains & melt to come it should get a bunch higher, perhaps close to 100% as well.

Another cold morning, but not quite as cold as expected or even yesterday.
No sunshine though and the winds will pick up from the north.
A few showers tomorrow it appears.

Feel a bit sorry for the BOM, they only got one word wrong in our forecast which made it 100% wrong. If they had said "Becoming Sunny" instead of "Becoming Cloudy" they would've been spot on.

Up to 97.7% today so 1.34 m below FSL and thus about 80 GL shy of max capacity. Catchments are wet. IOD in wet phase. NW cloudbands every week. But oddly it was a very dry July in NE Vic but rain has resumed. Looking a lot like a spill but in 5, 10 or 30 days thru till end of Spring? Stay tuned. https://www.g-mwater.com.au/water-resources/catchments/storage-levels

I felt colder today but garmin said 2c. 1c yesterday. Looked like more ice on surfaces this morning or maybe a little more moisture?
Ice warning lights were on for the pontoons, but it just looked a little damp to me. Yesterday there was definitely some ice.

Much milder today.
Radar shows a large rain band, from north to south, over western Victoria slowly moving it's way east.
Expect that we'll get a period of rain / showers during the middle of the day and clearing before the evening peak.

Some stats. Very wet for Dartmouth catchment - pretty well under the bullseye -but the rest of Vic is dry so far. Flow at Hinnomunjie can be taken as 50% of total inflow. Today at 8 am it's back to 2.7 GL/day down from 8 as shown below . End point on graph is 10th at 3.28 GL/day. Dam release at Colemans spiked to a daily 7.5 GL but now reduced to 5.6 this morning. Dam management by MDBA will be under pressure. LOL

I was planning on heading out Whittlesea / Yarrambat way on a gravel ride after doing the school run this morning. It looks like my procrastination was beneficial, as the weather is definitely looking unappealing right now.

I hear u, but see the map below.. its a pretty complex system and trying to figure out where it's gonna rain or not, would not be easy.. same for today, looking outside its hard to see a storm is possible, but its building to my north and west, so can't argue it's not possible..
