Heads up WA. Wind tomorrow night looks pretty-outtahand.

Might be a few trips to Bunnings for sandbags, today.

The BOM is warning that drainage systems may be flooded, after most areas of the Perth metropolitan area recorded between 100 and 150mm of rain in the first 10 days of July ? close to a month of average rainfall.

Monday's cold front will be the fifth in eight days for WA, three of which have prompted severe weather warnings.

Some really tight isobars on the backside of that low. What’s the chance of it staying like that? And consequences for southern WA snow with such a strong southerly stream?

Too warm. Came in 'hot' this system, out of the mid Indian.

Warmest system we've had thus far this season (and we've had a lot of extra tropical input), has been a cold few weeks in the south west, but back too boardie weather again. Going to be a washout a few places east as the initial rain band arrives.

Quite calm here at the moment - Wembley Downs, near the Perth coast. Humid, intermittent showers. A few gusts of wind early this morning, but certainly nothing like what was predicted. So far. Winds still in the NNE, so I expect the front is just a bit slow in arriving?

Wind here in Wembley Downs just swung around to the NW and picked up in the last 5 minutes.

Road under water again. Still a good 4-5 inches before it's as deep as last time, but this front looks to be done going by the radar. Was just out driving and it was *very* heavy. Lots of "puddle surfing" opportunities.

Barely a drop down south, but the westerly has been vigorous.

Our lovely new house in Floreat just lost all downstairs power. Sparky call out once the storm has passed. Hope Mum doesn’t have too much stuff in her freezer!

Tracking below average down south, despite the apparent 'wet winter'. Much moister in the wider Perth / Hills region.

Bickley going to be close to 400mm MTD.

Did do alright in wind last night though, gusts to 135km/h at Leeuwin, sustained period over 100km/h during the morning hours.

People pysche's copping flogging down south with the wind of late.

Country living, on west facing aspects, in poor WA standard housing, with tall trees all around is suddenly less appealing....

I lived in Perth from end of 04 to late 11 and only remember one month May 2005 when it was a 200mm month. I remember a lot of years of failed winters.

Sorry to hear that....

Noughties were a dry decade.

Down on the Capes has been damp, but still below recent July's, reflective of the type of weather patterns over last few weeks. Still had 30 days of precipitation out of 31 though.

Nice little low swinging in from the south west tonight (unusual direction for a standalone system), with a backhander for tomorrow. Wind roaring again, just another 100km/h plus night at Leeuwin.
