Working in sun on hill near Cape Leeuwin yesterday, one of my guys just come back from six weeks in Kimberley. Said he felt hotter yesterday.

We've had a seemingly endless run of glorious calm, sunny weather, three to five days of good surf & all days offshore a week during July & August this 'winter'. Cool nights making the heathen masses think it is a 'cold winter'. Best weather of the year, apart from the small fact we really need the rain.

Sitting just under 800mm accumulated thanks to the damp June, but really need to get some more water stored in the soil & vegetation before the windy curse of the spring - summer months arrive.

Is anyone able to get a read on what the weather might be like in the Stirling Ranges next weekend (14th/15th)? I'm looking at doing the ridge walk and would prefer to avoid testing conditions as it's going to be my first time.

From what I can see there's a band of moisture somewhere in the mix for that weekend, but it doesn't look like it's going to be particularly windy or wet.

EC showing 35 knots (850mb) on the Friday (12th), with more weather inbound.

Looks very Zonal with a possible front/trough system due through on the Sunday.
Not looking great IMO.

Bugger - I've got a School Kids camp out with 50 dads + hundred odd kids that weekend!

Looks to be sliding past a bit now? 20-30 knot winds on the Saturday with lighter winds on the Sunday, and very little moisture across the weekend?

Already had a dump of monsoonal like rains in Cottesloe this morning. My brother attended to my roof yesterday, and Lo and behold NO LEAKS! Thank goodness!

Blowing an absolute gale here in Perth!
Be surprised if there’s not a few airborne sheds and trampolines today!

Our place in Cottesloe looks like a war zone in the garden. Branches down everywhere. Lucky we got a fresh skip delivered this morning!

A strong contender for the most inappropriately named place in Australia - lovely spot, but shitty weather. I've been there many times, can only ever remember one sunny day.
Edit: I may be exaggerating slightly.
We're having a mix.
My pot burner is getting a workout.
Fantastic shooting Osprey and Brown Falcons soaring over the cliffs.

Checked in with the folks who live in South Freo (or North Coogee depending on which parental you ask) & they said the winds were howling as all heck. Lots of trees uprooted and stripped of their branches and leaves

They found a 3 seater stray seat cushion on their balcony

Barely got a gentle breeze down on the Capes, actually stayed offshore for last few days, as it's want to do when the core of the low is to the north, so surf was pumping.

The 25-40mm of rain was handy too, going into desiccation season.
