I live in Brisbane but am looking to spent 1-2 months in Wanaka next ski season 2019 would airbnb be best option if looking for a apartment/house to rent in Wanaka for 6 weeks during ski season? Any better options? Hoping 6 weeks+ would be cheaper that just looking at holiday prices. Thinking of heading over with wife and dog in 2019 during ski season and working remotely.

i have a friend who lives at albert town, just a little bit out of wanaka. they let there rooms out for winter. let me know if albert town would be of interest to you.

there is a quite central caravan park with cabins. the dog might be a hindrance with some accom. you can also look on the wanaka community centre website for housing accom.

Have you thought about getting a camper?its only 6 weeks?

Ive bought a van and im planning a similar length trip next year. Not just in wanaka... will be following snow wherever it falls

I'd look at trying to get a place in either Albert Town or Hawea (much, much cheaper) or if you can hack cramped spaces go for a van.
Have you looked into the cost of bringing a dog over? You could leave doggo with a family member/friend in Aussie and save that money for a TC season pass! LOL

Far too competitive for that. NZski or Chill is the only option really.

Hmm Chill looks not too bad especially if Canterbury is on
    Any idea of price??
    it's missing Ohau though :(
I don't mind paying their lift price though if it's good
