It's been the topic of focus for the models in the last few days, but with the right alignment of cold air it could possibility deliver a 'gain' >1700m for NSW resorts on Wed/Thurs IMO.

Largely, it could be a 'slippery slope' for the lower fetches of the NSW resorts, but there's a chance the cold pool boundary has enough push Eastward (enough interaction with the inland trough) to see 3-5cm fall in the NSW above 1700m. Snow at times down ~1500m, but to little benefit to accumulation IMO.

With the Northerly fetch Hotham & Falls may also see a light dusting on Wednesday as low as 1600m IMO.

IMO probably affects NSW resorts only. And appears cold enough for it to be actually snow.
Perhaps 5cm for Perisher? Probably more than what will happen with the 29th-1st system.

Yep, marginal conditions is the main subject of discussion here, I'd expect.

GFS has been a big, consistent advocate for the trough and cold pool. Seems to be it's bullish self.
IMO it's looking like it'll be a fizzer in terms of rainfall quantities....
