Great TR @skifree and @Telemark Phat .
Night time XC skiing looks possible
XC skiing there looks really good indeed
I've been on the tools this past week and haven't had time for photos, and we all know a TR post needs photos. Today I saw something so exceptional I had to take a photo.
The last week was Winter, followed by Spring, then rain and today turned back to snow. Everyone has left, staff don't have work and businesses have been closing early.
Alpen was dirt this morning
This is the amazing thing.
Family run completely empty at 2:00 pm.
Oh my GOD!!
It’s like mid April... or later
Due @skifree going home and my to on snow work running courses and exams this TR sure did taper off quickly. The last couple of days have been very spring like with less and less people here every day. Cold snow overnight had been transformed each day by above zero temps. I've heard rumours of the lifts closing after this weekend from the few staff who are still here. I fly home tonight and my biggest puzzle is how to convince my 78 year old mum in Sydney to leave my car keys out so I can get home without possibly infecting her with the defining factor of this trip, noone here due to COVID-19.
A couple of pretty pics from the last couple of days
Exam day Freshies
Sad windscreen wipers
Well done TP - sounds like you just squeezed your trip in time?
Aussie is nutty at the moment - don’t rush back!
Chitose is spooky quiet.
No check in for you.
My flight was the only, only, only flight from International. As you say, spooky.
Bummer about the new inter terminal being sterile compared to the bustle & ramble of the old domestic one.
now that’s spooky!
great TR thanks
