never bought skis or bindings before and have just purchased by first pair of boots. Do I need to bring them in when I get my skis and bindings? cheers
Should just need to give the Boot Sole Length so they can mount them and then take one boot with you for final fitting.
This, BSL stamped in boot may vary by a fraction. Also, some bindings may have a toe height adjustment.
If you have it, bring it. A shop can mount skis with just your BSL, but at some stage you will need the binding adjusted to your actual boot. So might as well get it all done at once.
I thought you needed the left boot for the left ski and the right boot for the right ski? Makes no sense to just get 1 boot/binding fitted???
Are you taking the piss? Skis can be swapped left to right while skiing. They are mounted identically.
Really? Cos my skis have different graphics on each ski. I always put the same ski on the same foot, didnt know you could/should swap them.
Swapping the skis balances the wear on the inner edges and gets you a bit longer between tunes. It's time to retire the Atomic 928's verm. Left and right skis were a terrible idea.
I heard a guy on a chair at Buller once telling his mates how he got 4 toe piece bindings fitted to his twin tips. I had to have a short break after that
I love how this is a habit ski shops have to ask for boots, but as a telemark skier our bindings don't adjust in length
Elan Amphibio? They are left and right specific skis due to the inside edge being a different shape to the outside edge.
