Noyhener... oh hang on, not Noyhener, it's the beach to the N of that. Spain bay?
If so, then here is the view from the other end of the beach looking back.

Would make sense why it's so ridiculously calm for that bit of coast. And why Rugby is still visible.

Indeed it is Spain Bay.

Now those who also look at the Bridges thread could revisit the current pic and clues.

It's not, that is a piddler of a hill compared to Rugby. Pretty certain we are looking at Going Hill in the background here.

Ok, thought that background peak, far left had the distinct form of Rugby ridgeline.

If you mean left in my pic it's the mess of Greer, Berry and Stokes. Rugby would be off to the right of the pic, just.

Technically it's part of a number of drops
Which is called a cascade. Even the waterfall rapid on the Mitta (you remember the one where someone flipped his boat) is not a real waterfall.

Lots of brown in the water. Its not normally that angry.

Correct. Normally just a trickle but this was Dec 21 when the Snowy hit 6m. Was mighty impressive to see all the falls absolutely charging.
