Ah OK....I must've missed that one. That's cool.
Bogong, that is a poor excuse for a boycott! ... [IMG]
For closure's sake, that pic I posted was taken in Stubachtal Austria....it was crispy -18 degree C January morning, in search of waterfall ice for some ice-cimbing. Stubachtal also has great back-country skiing! and hardly a soul about...well worth the visit, my recommendation anyway.

Ok, here's one then...I still haven't had my (a proper) go from guessing Curragong's pics! ...this photo below is dead easy....I'd be very surprised if it doesn't get guessed right first go!

We seem to have stalled somewhat.

This should be pretty easy, though not many have skied here.

Guys, you're in the right area, just not quite there yet.

Is the Tasmanian summit Harty Peak?

No to Harty Peak, (if you mean Hartz Moutain you are not far away). If you do not mean Hartz Mountain where is harty Peak?

I was thinking it was Devils Staircase in the middle ground as well.

No to Adamsons Peak. The things are going you should get it soon just by attrition. It used to be on the very old route to Federation.

Must be Mt Picton if it's on the old way to Federation.

Mt Howitt, Cross Cut Saw & Devils Staircase are not in my photo. Don't know if this helps or confuses, but here's another picture from pretty much the same vantage point.

Actually it was Beeper who got the gong. I was just confirming that Beeper was correct.

Mt Eadley Stoney is not in either of the pictures. Mt Clear is in the first picture. Where were they take from?

Is Eagles Peaks also known as Mt Governor? - I've only had this viewpoint in summer, but I was mind-skiing the mountain. If only 300-500m higher (sigh)

My Eagles Peaks response was to Sidetrack at end of Page 13 (west from McDonald)- just trying to clear up a name difference from what I know as Mt Governor. The thread had moved on.

Now that he's mentioned it, the red rock that characterises much of Stanley Name Spur is a bit of a give away.

Things seem to have ground to a stop again, so here's a photo that shouldn't be too hard (although it is a smidgeon out of focus [IMG] )...

No VSG, it's not the Belgrave to Gembrook line. In my defence it was raining bucketloads and the sleepers were very slippery. I suspect much of the blur is raindrops rather than poor focus.
