Bundanoon Creek, Morton National Park?
Thought a local might recognise it. Yes, Blue Mountains, but where???
Not Leura cascades, but it is a location that many, many people walk past
Not Katoomba Cascades.
Meaning the cascades above the falls on Jamison Creek? That would be my next guess too.
That’s the one. The main path to the falls passes over this creek.
Taken from where ?
Taken from the Castle, Budawangs looking toward Pigeon House
None of the above but it the general area. The Castle is clearly visible in the distance. Tough walking to get to this location.
From folly point?
Actually, maybe a bit futher over. Island mountain? Above that awesome canyon system. Did it burn? It was so choked with scrub that we gave up. Would love to go back into the canyons with no scrub!
Very good get . K Gal continued down into the wickedness on the right and on to Mt Eliot- Sturgiss Mountain and on to Styles Creek. She just commented that she does not want to go back.
Really? I take my students thru there! Not that bad.
This was the walk K Gal did 29 September – 2 October 2018 Budawangs – Folly Point, Watson Pass, Munnuldi Falls, Sluice Box Falls – Johnny Boy's Walkabout Blog
What type(s) of forest are there down in the valleys? Any temperate rainforest?
Someone else go.
Def some lowland rainforesty stuff with vines.
Ok Here ya go
The pic is somewhere approachable on foot . Frequently visited but closed atm.
No. Go South
Its in Monga N Park
Certainly is. Over to you @zapruda
Where am I standing?
South of Gungartan.
Tate West Ridge ?
Drift Hill. Up above thredbo looking over to Kosi and ramsheads.
Good one! Drift hill it is. I seriously love that area. I’m surprised it’s not more popular.
I've never been up there. Always gonna bash up there one day to take some nice picies of Thredbo and beyond with fresh snow - but always trying to ski it too.
I don't have any pics so someone else jump in.
Can someone show where Drift Hill is on a map - i cant work out where it might be with that big valley
For NSW go to: www.maps.six.nsw.gov.au
Click on the topomap layer.
No one has jumped in yet so i will throw this easy one in. Name of peak ?
ACT Granite country?
Not ACT. This is quartzite sandstone country.
Has a Yarranderie feel......
Correct State but a fair distance further South from there.
The rock in this part of the park is different to the other rock that this National park is known for .
