Spot was Devils Gullet lookout. Floor's open!
That is an awesome lookout.... went out that way around 12 years ago
The last sunset for a year most of us would love to forget
Looking towards Howitt CC Saw etc from Stirling ?
That was quick VSG
Nothing on me. Someone else go.
OK, easy one.
Ramshead looking into Leather Barrel Creek?
Correct, at the top of Golden Gully
This will probably be a quick one as well
Think I have seen this one before. From memory south coast of NSW. But goldfish effect is strong with me of late.
Pinnacles, Ben Boyd NP. South Coast NSW.
The distinctive triangular peak in distant centre is Mt Ida, with Olympus just behind. Cathedral Mountain is in just in front, to left. Mt Pillinger is hiding in mid ground below skyline of the Ossa Massif.
Indeed it is
Some one else go.
what am i looking at and where was i when i took it
Beat me to it.
Had a less cool theme.
Looking at part of the Razorback from out toward Loch?
Quartz looking back to Boges?
stick around its nearly gone
yep looking back at bogong. give me the spot near to quartz ridge so i can satisfy the judges and @Rabid K9 can give us something that will take a few weeks!
ps which gully is that
I was going to say from Quartz Knob but maybe with a longer lens from Timms? Foreground doesn't look right for Timms but.
Gully on right is Cairn? Gully off Hooker/Black saddle on left?
kinda sorta...on my original pic the right gully is black saddle gully, thats the left gully in this pic here, with cairn on right, you could stitch the 2 pics together. in the original pic hooker valley is the left gully, out of shot here
the spot for the pic is named after a place not that far from your abode in the yarra valley
thats the one! or at least im pretty sure thats where we were. its an odd spot for a spot, but it is a spot nonetheless
Bogong seems much closer than I recall from there, was it taken with a long lens?
yes. shitty zoom on a phone in 2011
Those Victorian alpine gullies and ridges are so similar...I can name a number of places that are not so dissimilar.
Bring on 2021 season.
Just to keep it moving.
Potentially a tricky one.
just shooting from the hip
No. In the dark as well by the looks.
Is an impoundment (by drowned tree stumps). Possibly coastal.
Not sure where that is, but no.
Is an impoundment.
Has bogan pedigree.
Glenmagie reservoir ?
None of the above.
Fair way from any wanker coffee.
Would have thought glenmaggie fits that description!
Whats the one on the king? Hovell dam? Wouldn't expect to see pelicans though
Cross reference the Covid OG thread (Jimmy Rees).
To narrow it down, not in Victoria, or South Australia for that matter.
Looks like one of those WA spots @Darb has also posted pics of?
Hmmm do not recognise. Looks hilly, is it even in WA?
Pelicans - would imagine it's not tooo far south of Perth, dont think we get Pelicans much south of Bunbury?
Hmmm, maybe Tas...Lake Leake?
These are hardcore bogans out this way. Bogan before it was cool to be bogan.
Nary a tribal tatt amongst them. Can even survive for more then five days without going to a shopping mall....
Ten years in the mining sector, thought understood the species, but certainly witnessed some 'new' behaviours around this area.
Check the distribution of the Australian pelicano' Darb. Stormboy was shot at 35 south.
Now we're talking.
Vegetation patterns are significant clue.
