Bogong: wrong State.
If i said ACT i imagine i'd be closer
Taken from Tidbinbilla looking across the Cotter river towards Dog trap spur and Gingera?
How about from the spur at the Cotter end of Mt Franklin looking south?
tidbinbilla peak looking north to tid mountain?
That's close enough. Camels Hump, looking back along the ridge to Tid. Mtn , and Tid Peak in the very back. Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is down in the valley to the left.
Bugger, I was just about to guess Camels Hump.
Try this one
Square Rock. Up from Corin Forest, over the back towards Tidbinbilla.
Too easy for you VSG.
Try this one
Alice rawson looking over to carruthers west spur and straight up the little austrian. Lovely spot.
I'm not sure if it's technically Alice Rawson, but if it isn't, it's certainly close enough. Looking into Lady Northcote Canyon.
Nice girl that Alice Rawson, just like to drink to much. Pity really.
looks like buffalo up the back top right horizon.....from...........stirling? No. Angle is wrong.
Main Range. From top of Crags? or over near Townsend? looking south west.
Top of the knoll that sits above the ridge that goes out to the sentinel.
or is that fryers alp in the bottom left? If so its the crags looking north west.
SB. You got it. Jagungal in the far distance. The foreground is the aftermath of Jan 03 fires.
Going with the top of the crags looking north west. The area about 500m north west of tenison woods knoll.
I think jagungal is a little off screen to the right. Those higher ones out the back could be table top and/or round mountain?? - don't know those ones to well.
OK here goes:
Would that be looking down Lady Northcote at the ridges coming off Carruthers and the Sentinal ie around Little Austria?
not sure but luv the photo, SB
Yeh, love yer work SB.
close but not quite.
SB... had to repost on this page.
Looking across the ridges after the Sentinel.. almost due west of the Sentinel, from Carruthers west Peak.
aka chutes north face of Carruthers - could be a good call.
Close enough. The ridges between Sentinel and the Crags. Photo taken from the knoll above the ridge which leads out to the Sentinel.
This is fun. Next image please.
Drat. Strezleki Creek. Bridesmaid again.
What are the rules? Graeme's image next?
BTW, its a shame that it takes dead trees/shrubs to play beautiful games with the light in that photo. Nice shot SB.
What about this great spot, Clue, not in Tasmania, photo taken March 2006
Close, starts with letter U
Located 40 km away from P*** C***K,
2nd photo shows group half way to camp site.
Looks like the low road is a bit flooded.
That be umbrawarra gorge
Right on, Well done, a great place, do not tell anyone where it is.
(1)name of reserve
(2)name of beach
Southern NSW coast around Eden
Newotns / Jane Spiers beach, Nadgee Nature Reserve.
From dad's Cessna:
yes, but Newtons is 3rd beach along in the middle distance i.e. taken from north end of JS beach with the foreground rocks separating off a small section of beach only.
Have you visited Wonboyn much in recent times, CarveMan?
...and for those who are interested in wilderness sandskiing, you can see the dune system of Cape Howe in the distance on CarveMan's aerial shot. A long way to carry your skis though - maybe strap them to a sea kayak!
Haven't been there in about 18 months.
Are we ready for the next?
