Pyramids: next to the Murrumbidgee River, near Bolaro property (nr Adaminaby), south of ACT. You can rent them out for holidays.

p.s My Tom Groggin bid was tongue in cheek: there's no concrete causeway to be seen down there. [IMG] And since when has there been that much water at Angle Crossing? [IMG]

no worries...nice drive through from Williamsdale - some nice little spots dotted here and there around the ACT.

The setting looks a bit like Maddison's (aka Aertex) Hut ruin in Camp Valley on Mt Bogong. But while the shelter could have been erected in an afternoon if they dragged the iron out of the bush, that chimney looks too well designed and built, so I suspect I'm completely wrong.

Is it on Mulhauser Spur? Heard there is a hut ruin out there somewhere.

The iron appears to be fire-damaged, so the shelter has been constructed from the remains of a previously burnt hut. But the scrub behind the hut is clearly unburnt... interesting.

Yes, Bogong has it. Maddisons (Aertex) as it was in 1983.
I think it had been partially rebuilt after being burnt down by activists in the late 70's. Hence the burnt/rusty iron sheeting.

Ermm, if I got it right, then I suppose that makes it my turn. This shouldn't be too hard, but it is such a nice (and popular) location, most regular hikers will have been there.

I reckon you are correct Alex C.

Those little lanes going down left to right are sweet to ski on. Nice 2 to 3M drop offs.

Yep, slopes of Mt Speculation near Horrible Gap looking towards the summit. There are a few little 3-4 metre "clifflets" but they're easily negotiated and the track is excellent. Next photo please.

Bump. :tany: Most of us can have a guess at most places in the Snowy Mntns, Vic or Tas, but sadly no-one knows the ACT very well except the locals.

I have only set foot in Namadgi NP twice VSG [IMG]

I'll have a stab anyway though. The view is looking NWish. The hazy peaks in the background are likely to be the ones on the NSW border. It is possible that the one framed in the saddle is Bimberi. The peak to the left of the saddle looks like Mt Kelly, which would make the saddle Bogong Gap.

Unfortunately I only have tourist maps with me atm, and they all suck :tany: so I cannot confirm the exact location, but I think it is the Gudgenby Valley, in the vicinity of Bogong Creek/Middle Creek/Rendezvous Creek area [IMG]

I'm from Canberra and you had me stumped from memory. (Just didn't look right.) From maps I'm going to say Orroral Valley looking W from the Orroral Ridge Road car-park, or somewhere else along that ridge. (Legoland?)

Ok this should be a little harder. The bad news is that over the last year or so Ive used most of my digital images so this is pretty much the last "where is" I have at the moment. Without getting stupid anyway.

The good news is Ive just organized for over 300 slides from the last 10 years or so to be scanned.
