I think Bombadier when I was there was in the Hut Run/ Maltese cross area. Funnily enough now I hear the run is permanently closed and it was baw baw's 2nd best run after the old chairlift line. The bombadier run has a creek/culvert in the middle of it breaking the run in two in poor years
Might be a bit obvious but where, from where? to make it even easier I've added a second picture that gives clue to the first. again where, from where?
You cant see feathertop from derricks, loch gets in the way. That bottom shot does look like its out the window of derricks looking back up at loch. So therefore the girl (your daughter i beleive graeme after a big faux pas last year) is standing on loch, looking at f'top.
Agreed Feathertop, but are the trees in the foreground too close to camera for it to have been taken from Loch? Maybe further north along ridge somewhere. Maybe even Niggerheads?
hmm..... there is a little group of trees on that side of loch. Top left of this shot from top of tele-treat
and to qualify my statement she is standing about 20m north- west of the summit of loch this photo i took standing next to summit cairm last year
Jugs got the easy part, Feathertop; GS got Niggerheads first; but Legend has the double. Mt Niggerhead it is, foreground in first pic, right upper pane in second which is take from Tawonga Huts.
Yeah I thought it would go pretty quick. When I was repping for Scarpa and some other brands Tassie was one of my territories and I used to go up and ski on Wellington at lunch time. So much fun when you ussually have to drive for hours.
See now if I was mr my post above would have been 3 sepperate consecutive posts just so as I could get my post count up and be dedicated.
Whats that open glen at LM after you climb up from the carpark called? - is it there? It looks a hellava lot like LM to me.
Looks more like on the Bluff track, can't remember the name of the place, is it Refrigerator Gap or something like that? Short distance down track from where the walking track heads up the cliffs to the Bluff.
mmm... methinks the determinant will be found in these structures. Otherwise, it looks like any saddle/gap/frost hollow found in much of our alpine country in Victoria, and parts of NSW.
Which structures VSG? The cut down trees? From the trees (combo woollybutt and taller thinner snowgums) i would guess it is somewhere between 1200-1400m ASL if in Vic.
Could I ask that we try and have identifiable horizons, landmarks, huts, etc. in the photos? Stands of trees are a bit too hard for me.
Oh poor little Boggy . I think as long as its a place that we have or a fair few of us have been its ok. Anyway it was identified pretty quick. If we are going to have rules I dont want anything from the ACT or Blue Mtns because they would be to hard for me. Also I started this thread 50 pages or so ago so I can do what I want
