Girraween it is, but the original pic was from castle rock at sunset (the cleared areas were supposed to help) - the "hint" was the sphinx, about 3K's away. Correct NP so close enough seeing most here are southerners.VSG said:Girraween NP, near Stanthorpe. The Matchsticks?
Got any more details?bennos said:No I didnt - recognise the walkway at the top.
Have grand ambitions of hiking the gorge in the southern area of the park.
Certainly was. Had my eye on the northern cold pool late last week. Was pretty sure i was going to chase snow on firday night going by the charts. Called the BOM at Moree to get temperature data from the ballon data and they said it was -1 at 1500m. Anyway, had to travel from Inverell back to Moree friday arvo. The sky was filled with massive clouds with fuzzy tops (the type i'm used to seeing over the snowys on approach from the east) and there was sleety rain falling. It was cloudy over the top of Kaputar so i packed up the swag and the mrs and drove down.VSG said:Snow Blowey... were they really photos of Kaputar NP?
No quite firmly on the ground, in fact within 20m of a location that I saw posted in this or the last thread (having trouble finding it currently though, pretty sure I saw it posteD).Bogong said:
