Has anyone spent Christmas in Whistler? Any tips for places to go for Chrissy lunch or special things to do? We will be there this year in a big family group with ten adults and eleven kids ages 19 years - 5 months.

Get out on the hill and shred while everyone else is doing xmas things.:D

The village has amazing lights and is really pretty to walk through at that time of year. Sounds like they'll update this page with a list of events and activities as the season gets closer.

Didn’t do Christmas but did New Years.

As above, enjoy the ski as it was seriously quiet, New Year’s Day was our quietest day in whistler.

To be honest Thredbo does 10 times more than Whistler, but Whistler is just a lovely place to be at that time, great lights and atmosphere. (Also don’t miss the lights in Vancouver).

We did it and enjoyed the company of a big group for two Christmas times. Nothing beats that first White Christmas we had. It was great. But yeah we kinda had our blinkers on because we did have the group to be involved with and not noticing what the resort had to offer. Christmas carols was cool for the kids too.
