Basically no. This phenomenon has been occurring for at least 4 year that we know about. The last 4 seasons in Japan have been good to really good by their standards. The average temp in Siberia has been determined to have increased about 3 degrees over the last 40 years. So all in all, if it ever does have an effect then I would imagine it would be in the realtively distant future.

Much of eastern Siberia averages below -30 in winter so a rise of a few degrees will have little impact. There has been recent marked decrease in the ice amount in the Sea of Okhotsk though. Some have speculated that this is allowing more evapouration which is assisting in heavier snowfalls.
We're probably due for a not so good year but don't fret too much as even the worst season on record here is about the same as the best ever recorded in Aus.

After seeing the price for the b+b's in japan its something iam seriously considering, would hate to buy a lodge then have the snow go like ours.
